Gotu Kola - centella asiatica 300mg daily

Targets brain, mood and short term memory. Relieves stress and agitation. Is also an adaptogen.

 

Brahmi - Indian pennywort- bacopa monniera 300mg daily.

Very similar to Gotu kola, but for long term memory. Brahmi and Gotu Kola work synergistically.

 

Vacha - sweet flag - acorus calamus 200mg daily

It scrapes toxins from the subtle channels in the mind and aids concentration; increases alertness and focus. It significantly aids information absorption, speech and memory recall as it promotes cerebral circulation. Also good for sinus issues.

 

Shankhpushpi - bindweed root - Convolvulus Pluricaulis 200mg daily

Nerve tonic that supports mind, spirit, and intellect, helps in focusing, concentration and attention. Suitable for study, support healthy brain functions and memory.

 

Everyone is different, and has different requirements, so when working with medicinal herbs see what works for you. The dosage suggestions are for a 180lb person. When working with herbs, dosage depends on weight of person or severity of target ailment. Do not go above 1g for the brahmi or gotu kola as it could have a too-calming effect.

 

Take a break from herbs every couple of months. So, 2 months on, 1 month off.

 

You will probably find formulations with a combo of these herbs. I have successfully treated my own brain fog with Gotu Kola & Brahmi.

 

One last tip: l-theanine with coffee gives a calm but focused effect.
