Eerie video footage shows emergency warnings being tested out before Inauguration Day in almost empty streets around the US Capitol.
A short clip recorded Saturday afternoon shows the usually bustling streets near the Capitol building in Washington, DC, almost completely empty after the district put up a ring of steel amid ongoing threats of violence.
Adding to the unsettling scenes, a loudspeaker repeatedly states, “This is a test of the US Capitol Police audible emergency notification system.”
