The Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill was first introduced in 1918 by Representative Leonidas C. Dyer, a Republican from St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States House of Representatives as H.R. 11279.[1] It was directed at punishing lynchings and mob violence.

The Dyer Anti-Lynching Bill was re-introduced in subsequent sessions of Congress and passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on January 26, 1922, but its passage was halted by a Southern Democratic filibuster in the U.S. Senate.

Hang on!!! David Shulkin ex head of the VA

In September 2017, The Washington Post reported that Shulkin spent nearly half his time on a July 2017 international trip to Europe—which was paid for by taxpayers—sightseeing and shopping with his wife, Merle Bari.[39] Shulkin later told The Washington Post that he did "nothing inappropriate" on the trip, that the

trip was taken primarily to attend a Five Eyes conference,

and that personal visits to "various historic and other sites in London and in Denmark" were done "on nights, on weekends, the day before the conference started" and were "paid for by me".[40]

VA must be under investigation

The Inspector General referred his concerns about the potential criminality of the actions undertaken by Shulkin's chief of staff to the Department of Justice, which declined to prosecute.

He also said the Trump Administration had forbidden him from speaking out to the media to respond to the accusations publicly prior to his dismissal
