Boatfag here. Just looked at the Taiwan Straight/East China Sea/Senkakus OpArea about an hour ago.

No way to tell if any carriers are out there because they don't show up. The Navy isn't keen on letting us know exactly where they're at.

But I didn't see anything other than a few unidentified mil/law enforcement ships in the area of fishing operations, which usually denotes fisheries law enforcement.

Will take another look this bread, if anything is found it will be posted. But don't hold up any hope for a report.

Baker no need to Note; up to you but this is just a reply to an Anon

Anon, in further response I just wanted to share what I'm seeing in the East China Sea OpArea, which is nothing that we would really find useful.

The cap is a broad view and expanded views obviously help (not included), but there isn't much. The ones with arrows pointing at them (the contacts shown in red) are all "Mil/Law Enforcement" identified contacts and they're usually "unidentified" w/ no photos of the vessel, typically.

Arrows from top to bottom are:

Chinese CG

Unidentified (inside a mass of fishing vessels)

Unidentified (on the eastern side of Taiwan, so who knows?)

Unidentified (inside a mass of fishing vessels)

If you expand the view to the area in the vicinity of the circle, there's yet another unidentified Mil/LE contact…also around fishing boats.

Boatfaggin' is an exercise in persistence. Just takes a bunch of time to do it right.

So, unfortunately, no known carrier positions.

Last reported carrier positions are from this 2nd cap, which shows the latest US Naval Institute POSREP (POSition REPort)
