Stone Cold Steve Austin was supposed to show up at Backlash 2000 to help The Rock against Triple H. The Rock was getting beat down by Triple H and his gang with no sign of hope. If Austin was going to come back, surely he'd have come out to help The Rock by then? It seemed to be all over. Then, when the bad guys were at their greatest level of self-assuredness, GLASS SHATTERED and out came Stone Cold Steve Austin to open up a can of whup-ass.

Now, I'm sure you're thinking, "come on, this is gay."

Although it's simple math, really.

The higher the assuredness of the bad guys, the harder and faster the fall when the glass breaks and out comes Stone Cold Steve Austin.
