I've actually thought of that theory of him confessing, but I've thought of a dozen others over the past few months that never happened either.
It is odd though how some force in the administration had the ability to seemingly make SC Justices resign, and hundreds if not thousands of high level execs resign. RBG's demise was timely too. Getting just the right amount of votes to avoid impeachment, and somehow keeping Mueller in check for two years was very interesting too. They could have nailed Trump with the special counsel alone, but they didn't. Just odd.
