The Fulcrum & an Analogy
(a little something for the uncertainty / anxiety / fear)
A fulcrum is similar to a lever with a range of motion 180 degrees.
0 and 180 are the two "opposite & extreme" positions that the lever can be at. Each being a position of purity. Hot or cold… good or bad… etc.
The middle position of this range is 90 degrees. This is where it is 50/50. Half cold & half hot for example.
Each extreme is dominant on its side of the 90 degree position. Mostly cold or mostly hot.
Now imagine that the lever is constantly in motion. And, that it indicates the direction of humanity.
In short spans of time, the lever may move back and forth many times.
In very long spans of time, the lever can be seen to be moving either Toward the 90 degree position, or away from the 90 degree position.
If an individual only holds the perspective of "short spans of time", the general direction of humanity is never seen and life "appears" chaotic.
If an individual only holds the perspective of the 90 degree position, life is indecisive, not clear, equally cold and hot. "Apparent" chaos at a different level, the mind.
The solution to the chaos is the perspective of long spans of time.
Today (EST), humanity will be at the 90 degree position. (perhaps a few hours before and after 12pm). The boundary of the unknown.
Thankfully, the lever is always moving and will pass through the boundary rather quickly. Meaning the period of not knowing will be short. But it does not mean "all knowing" will be attained or revealed upon exiting the boundary.
The volume of knowing will increase as the lever moves further and further away from the 90 degree position.
There is always hope. Pandora made this a certainty. Beyond the 90 degree position, we move into the region where the opposite is dominant.
Consider which of your feelings, thoughts and emotions have been increasing during past few years… or life. Beyond the 90 degree position the opposite is dominant. The further the lever moves beyond the middle point, the more the opposite is dominant. Increasing purity, you could say.
Unknowns can bring anxiety, uncertainty. The antidote for this is hope. And hope can be found within information. Information availability is dependent on Perspective.
My hope, is that the perspective above is able to reduce uncertainty / anxiety / fear.
