The Syrian government periodically allows flour bags and food parcels but blocks trauma kits and basic medicine, such as insulin, from entering the area.

newspaper conducted an investigation of these allegations in June and found that Lafarge, “the world’s leader in construction materials, had paid taxes to ISIS middlemen, as well as other armed groups in Syria, to protect its cement business operations in the country.”

Even more disturbing is that the investigation has discovered a connection between Lafarge and Democratic Presidential Candidate Hillary Clinton. Lafarge has not been been a “major donor” for the Clinton Foundation, but was also managed by Hillary Clinton herself during the early 1990’s.

During the 1980’s, Clinton even “did legal work for the firm”, and while she worked at Lafarge, the company was “implicated in facilitating a CIA-backed covert arms network to Saddam Hussein.”

In June, the French newspaper Le Monde found that Lafarge “which merged with Swiss cement maker Holcim in 2015” had arranged for production to continue in cooperation with the “jihadists” until September 2014.
