When scares occurred after Jan 13 2018, one could recall post 521 and wonder, "Were White Hats behind that?" You'd hope not, because if they were, it would suggest cruel White Hat FF misery, which no one wants.
But maybe the scare event is the current inaugural… situation. White Hats let the new Administration "win", and in their first days in power they act foolishly, with nasty moves that make plain to everyone the true extent of our present disaster.
In this case, the scare event is real, not FF. It's a true disaster, foisted on us by the many Black Hats – but it doesn't claim lives until disastrous bills are passed and codified in regulations, and disastrous new Executive Orders are carried out, in the field. And that will take time. Meanwhile, there's still time for White Hats to step in and act on existing Executive Orders, sealed indictments, unclassified evidence, etc., to reverse this scare event. A timely White Hat reversal would not be cruel, because lives are spared. But it would nonetheless be extremely memorable.
The present fear lays down a memory for a lifetime: "a bad experience we never forget how to avoid in the future".
Maybe that's it. Maybe that's what the scare must be.
Or… the Biden Administration and Congress might play it cool for a while, and make a series of uncharacteristically magnanimous, helpful moves. What then?
