The way I see it… The General asked for another month of our service on 31 DEC. Our 10 days of darkness began on 20 JAN. I wouldn't count the 20th, since anons were anticipating a happening all day, thus no darkness until the 21st (today). Considering both General Flynn's request AND 10 actual days of darkness = 31JAN2021
