Payette stepping down as governor general after blistering report on Rideau Hall work environment
The Governor General is the actual person in power in Canada. They serve as the liaison between the commonwealth of Canada and our foreign Queen Elizabeth. They are also the Commander In Chief of the armed forces. And this whole situation is fuckey.
After a mockingbird report about a "hostile work environment" in her office, a third part revue was conducted, and despite no formal complaints it was very damning. Resulting in her resignation. She also uses her father's health as an excuse.
