Anon would like to offer a new perspective.
Consider a trading card game; in which you build a deck tailored to a certain playstyle. Tactics are built around rules and technicalities until you have a foundation or goal for your deck of cards.
Have we been watching a trading card game where one player has a one trick pony deck, and the other has an answer for everything?
Anon thinks crumbs are less gospel and more backups upon backups, another card to play, a lattice of potentialities that are only referenced in comms when the game is going a direction that requires that crumb.
Then when the other side answers, comms point to new potential outcomes.
