Trump is still my POTUS. He's taken that title as his own now. He defined what it means to be a POTUS. It's his. Low-energy Joe simply doesn't have it in him to rise to the occasion.
All around the world, whenever a new leader is elected a pageant follows. In the Communist system, the people attend out of fearful respect. In the West, we traditionally have a party where not all of the population attends. It's always a high-energy affair though, where the governed give their consent to the newly elected officials. Think Clinton. Think Obama. We might not like them, but they drew the crowds. Think Reagan. Think Bush. Think POTUS.
Now look at Sleepy Joe.
No energy. No adoring public. No consent given. No transfer of power. He can't fill a parking lot, let alone a stadium. If POTUS announced a rally tomorrow, tickets would sell out in minutes.
The inauguration was symbolically important because the lack of crowds and the lack of enthusiasm show that the Dems have no consent to govern and no enthusiasm from their base. They won the vote through cheating. They forced a virus upon us. They lied about both. Reprehensible actions, for which the troops turned their backs on the President elect when his motorcade drove past.
In order to function, politicians need crowds. They need adulation. They don't care if it's fearful respect or love. But they need it. The Dems do not have the love that POTUS has from their supporters. They don't have fearful respect either. The most that the Dems can muster these days is dislike or hate, and that's all directed at MAGA.
They have no figurehead to command love or fear. They are laughably transparent. These people can make laws, but they have no mandate to rule and no consent either. They are discovering that cheating and winning by any means possible does not win hearts or minds.
The best they can do is try to buy affection. We all know how this turns out.
How do you capture a very dangerous animal? You starve it first. Starve it of money. Starve it of support. Starve it of love. Starve it of fear. Then you entice it into a cage with a free meal. Once the door is slammed shut, you put it on display for the world to see.
Tell me this isn't what has happened.
