The NT is our best source for the life of Jesus of Nazareth the historical man. The NT does not say any such thing. If we take the NT as a theological source, the NT does not say such a thing.

 

However, the Jesus found in the Gnostic sources does indirectly kill. For example,

 

In the Second Treatise of the Great Seth, Jesus says, “I did not die in reality, but in appearance.” Those “in error and blindness….saw me; they punished me. It was another, their father, who drank the gall and vinegar; it was not I. They struck me with the reed; it was another, Simon, who bore the cross on his shoulder. I was rejoicing in the height over all….And I was laughing at their ignorance.”

 

Interestingly this Gnostic Jesus is found in the Quran and Islamic tradition.

 

Quran 4:157, Mohsin Khan: And because of their saying (in boast), "We killed Messiah 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), the Messenger of Allah," - but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but the resemblance of 'Iesa (Jesus) was put over another man (and they killed that man), and those who differ therein are full of doubts. They have no (certain) knowledge, they follow nothing but conjecture. For surely; they killed him not [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) ]: But Allah raised him ['Iesa (Jesus)] up (with his body and soul) unto Himself (and he is in the heavens). And Allah is Ever All­Powerful, All­Wise.

 

Quran 4:157, Pickthall: And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo! those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.

 

Therefore, the Gnostic Jesus and the Jesus of the Quran are a type of twin. Another dying in the place of Jesus is the same as forfeiting one life for another. Jesus is responsible for this. Therefore, a killer (indirect).

Because:
