Pelosi Announces Trump Impeachment Article to Be Delivered to the Senate Monday

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) issued a statement Friday announcing the article of impeachment of former President Trump will be delivered to the Senate on Monday. The article passed by a vote of 232 to 197 on January 13. Ten Republicans, led by Rep. Liz Cheney (WY), joined all 222 Democrats in voting to impeach Trump. The article calls for Trump to be barred from ever again holding federal office, if convicted that would stop Trump from a 2024 run for the presidency. Details and the timing of the trial are being negotiated by Senate leaders Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

National Guard Allowed Back Into Capitol After Eviction To Parking Garage; Trump Offers DC Hotel Rooms

Update (1020ET): National Guardsmen have been allowed back into the Capitol Complex after outrage erupted over their Thursday eviction to nearby parking garages.

According to CNN, one Guardsman said that they are now allowed to rest in the US Capitol Visitor Center.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump has reportedly given permission for troops to stay at Trump Hotel DC if needed.

Ali Khamenei's main account still remains active, given the main account did not post the Trump image or threat. The threat has remained up at other state media accounts too, such as Tasnim News.

Democrats demand Facebook, Twitter & YouTube change algorithms to stop ‘polluting minds of American people’

Democrats in the US Congress have urged major social media platforms to eliminate algorithms and recommendations that breed extremism and undermine the sense of “objective reality.”

Representatives Anna Eshoo and Tom Malinowski wrote letters demanding change to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. A similar letter was sent to the CEO of Google, Sundar Pichai, and Susan Wojcicki, the CEO of YouTube, which is owned by Google.

“For years, social media companies have allowed harmful disinformation to spread through their platforms, polluting the minds of the American people,” Eshoo tweeted.

The lawmakers argued that social media platforms allow content which reinforces “existing political biases, especially those rooted in anger, anxiety, and fear.” They said the algorithms used by Big Tech “undermine our shared sense of objective reality” and “facilitate connections between extremist users,” which lead to violence in real life, like the storming of the US Capitol in Washington, DC on January 6.

Twitter was urged to “immediately make permanent changes to limit the spread of misinformation and other forms of harmful content.” Facebook and YouTube were similarly asked to tweak their recommendation systems in order not to promote “dangerous conspiracy theories” among users.

The Democrats and many in the media accused former President Donald Trump of inciting the crowd of his supporters to seize the Capitol in hopes of overturning the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Major online platforms, including Facebook and Twitter, promptly banned Trump and cracked down on some of his vocal supporters.

Moreover, Apple and Google kicked Parler, an ‘alternative’ social media platform popular with conservatives, from their app stores. Amazon then cut the company off its web-hosting service, forcing it to go offline.

Trump’s critics have insisted that the crackdown is necessary to prevent violence and the spread of falsehoods. Conservatives, meanwhile, called Big Tech’s policies “Orwellian,” and argued that they amount to political censorship.

If ‘Facebook is Private’ Why are They Feeding Private Messages of Its Users Directly to the FBI?

Despite decrying censorship when it was happening to them last year, when Donald Trump was banned from Twitter and Facebook earlier this month, the left praised the move by big tech. “Facebook is a private company and can do what they want,” the pro-censorship hypocritical crowd chanted ad nauseum through the digital ether after bad orange man was silenced. But as we have said time and again, Facebook being private is simply not true. Now, however, Facebook has made an unscrupulous Faustian bargain with the federal government which should eliminate all doubt once and for all. They are now willfully handing over private messages of Trump supporters who talked about the events at the capitol on January 6.

Google, Apple, and Amazon all moved to wipe the pro-Trump social media network Parler from the internet earlier this month because of what users on the platform discussed. It was alleged that the handful of dolts who stormed the capitol on January 6 had solely used Parler to plan their laughable, unarmed, silly, unsuccessful, and pitiful attempt to keep Trump in the White House.

Despite the ragtag group of Trumpians posing for selfies, photo-ops, and hanging from banisters, the only thing they accomplished was having D.C. turned into a scene akin to North Korea for Biden’s inauguration. Most honest experts in the media have acknowledged that though a few members of the mob thought they were part of some historic coup to keep their leader in power, the idea that they had any real chance at an insurrection was misleading at best and sheer propaganda used to further the domestic police and surveillance state at worst.

Deferring all responsibility for the planning of the raid on the capitol, Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg had stated shortly after the incident that the protests were largely organized off Facebook. However, she was not telling the truth, and likely knew that large portions of the pro-Trump protests were talked about and organized on Facebook. But was Facebook wiped off the internet like Parler? No, no it was not. Here’s why.

This week, Facebook began furnishing the Federal Bureau of Investigation with data on Trump supporters who discussed the events at the capitol on their platform — up to and including their private messages. Through this action the social media giant is acting as a de facto intelligence collecting arm of the US government.

In contrast, when Syed Farook, otherwise known as the San Bernardino mass shooter, wouldn’t unlock his iPhone for the feds, Apple refused to create a backdoor for them to access it acting as an actual private company supporting the privacy rights of its customers. But Facebook is more than willing to open up its data mining services for their friends in the federal government — because, as we have stated numerous times, Facebook is not private.

Greg Abbott Orders Texas National Guard To Pull Out Of D.C. Immediately

“I have instructed General Norris to order the return of the Texas National Guard to our state."

Texas governor Greg Abbott announced Thursday night that he has ordered Texas National Guard Adjutant General Tracy R. Norris to pull the state National Guard out of the U.S. Capitol, lessening the threatening military presence installed by Democrat politicians in the district during the Joe Biden inauguration.

Abbott made the announcement in a tweet that read, “I have instructed General Norris to order the return of the Texas National Guard to our state. @TexasGuard.”

The National Guard has been seen marching up and down the streets of the District of Columbia since January 6, when Vice President Mike Pence conspired with Republican and Democrat officials to call in troops to D.C. behind then- President Donald Trump’s back.

Vice President Mike Pence took to Twitter Wednesday to threaten the citizens who voted for his re-election in the 2020 presidential campaign, promising that pro-Trump protesters on Capitol Hill “will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Moments later, news broke that Pence had defied Trump by unilaterally deployed the National Guard against American citizens.

According to a statement from the office of acting SECDEF Chris Miller, Pence met with Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Sen, Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley, the lawmakers conspired to deploy the National Guard against protesters behind President Trump’s back.

Despite the fact that Congressional officials insisted they needed the National Guard for protection from “right-wing insurrectionists” – none of which materialized on Election Day – the troops have in fact been treated quite poorly by said politicians since their arrival in D.C.

Following the inauguration, President Biden and Congressional officials ordered troops out of the halls of the Capitol and White House, forcing them to sleep in parking garages during bitter January weather.

President Donald Trump has since been able to score a moral and optical victory over the Biden administration by reportedly offering to let the beleaguered National Guard troops stay at his luxury Trump International Hotel for free, proving the assertion that they were needed in the city in the first place to ward off “pro-Trump insurrectionists” completely nonsensical.

Republican Rep: $1400 Checks Only for People Who Take Vaccine

Republican Congressman Steve Stivers argued that the third round of stimulus checks should only be distributed to Americans who take the COVID-19 vaccine.

Stivers, who also “condemned Trump for encouraging Capitol rioters,” suggested the roll-out method for the $1,400 checks the day after Joe Biden’s inauguration.

He’d “be willing to sign off on a stimulus check of $1,400 for people who take the vaccine,” he said during an interview with Yahoo! Finance.

“I hope the administration will look at that option because we actually buy something with our $1,400 — and that’s herd immunity,” Stivers added.

Christopher Steele Told FBI Of Clinton Crony’s Work On A Second Trump Dossier

Newly declassified FBI notes show that Christopher Steele disclosed details about a Clinton operative’s dossier on Donald Trump.

Steele told the FBI that Cody Shearer sought to purchase a purported sex tape of Trump with Russian prostitutes from an ethnic Russian businessman who claimed to have ties to Russia’s intelligence service.

Steele said he was doubtful of the Shearer dossier because of the reputation of the source, who he identified as Ruslan Mansimov.

Steele’s own dossier has been undercut by several congressional and federal investigations.

Christopher Steele provided the FBI with details about a longtime Clinton associate’s efforts to track down a purported sex tape of Donald Trump in Russia, according to newly declassified FBI documents.

Steele, a former British spy, told FBI agents in September 2017 that Cody Shearer, the Clinton crony, met in Istanbul and New York with a source who claimed to have ties to Russian intelligence. Shearer and his source were “actively discussing” a deal for the purported tape of Trump, according to Steele.

Shearer, a former journalist who has long been connected to the Clintons, compiled a dossier that contained allegations about Trump that are similar to those in a dossier that Steele himself wrote on behalf of the Clinton campaign and DNC.

Both dossiers contained the uncorroborated allegation that Russian intelligence operatives filmed Trump with Russian prostitutes in a Moscow hotel in 2013.

Don’t Hug Your Grandchildren Even After Vaccine, Warns UK Health Expert

A leading British health expert has said that grandparents should refrain from hugging their grandchildren and families even after they have received the coronavirus vaccine.

The director of the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing at the University of Birmingham, Professor Janet Lord, has urged people to abide by the government’s social distancing regime after they have been inoculated.

When asked by the BBC Radio 4’s Today programme as to whether grandparents will finally be able to embrace their grandchildren after they have taken the jab, Professor Lord said: “I would certainly advise not to do that at the moment because as you probably know with the vaccines they take several weeks before they are maximally effective.”

“It’s really important that people stay on their guard even if they’ve had that first vaccination. If people do relax what they’re doing then it reduces the benefits of the vaccination,” she added.

Professor Lord said that she was also reticent to introduce the idea of coronavirus vaccine passports, as it is currently unclear whether vaccines will actually reduce the transmission rate of the virus.

The British government has also said that the lack of evidence about the transmission of the virus post-vaccination is the main factor for not implementing health passports at present.

The professor described the “practical difficulties” of such the vaccine rollout, saying that if people witness vaccinated people acting normally, they may be more inclined to stop following the lockdown restrictions themselves.

“It’s people observing you, so if you’re going around, you’re no longer wearing a mask, you’re hugging anyone you feel like hugging then it’s the message that it gives psychologically and motivationally that could be the risk,” the professor claimed.

The government’s Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) also expressed their lack of faith in the British public, claiming that the gains from vaccinations may be “offset” by people flouting the rules.

Minutes from a SAGE meeting reported on by The Telegraph revealed that according to a government survey, some 40 per cent of the public will either follow the rules less strictly or not at all following their vaccination.

Over four million people have been vaccinated so far in the UK. However, Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that there will not be an “open sesame” moment for the country to end its draconian lockdown restrictions.

“I think we’ve done more than half of the over-80s, half of the people in care homes, the elderly residents of care homes,” Johnson said on Monday.

The Government’s Chief Scientific Adviser Sir Patrick Vallance warned on Wednesday that 70 per cent the British public will need to be vaccinated or recovered from the virus for herd immunity to be reached in the country.

“We’re still at really, really high levels. One in 55. The prospect of spread is still high. This is absolutely not the time to talk about relaxing measures. And the vaccine rollout is critical, we’ve got to get on top of that,” Vallance said.

“The advice at the moment is that vaccines are not going to do the heavy lifting for us at the moment. This is, I’m afraid, about the restrictive measures… and carrying on with those.”

CBP to Build New Migrant Entry Center in Advance of Biden Policies

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials announced the approval to build a new soft-sided processing center. The announcement comes as President Joe Biden announced the cancellation of Trump administration policies that are now expected to create a surge in illegal immigration.

Former CBP Acting Commissioner Mark Morgan told Breitbart Texas the building process began “in anticipation of potentially losing Title 42 and/or the Migrant Protection Protocol (MPP)” when Biden took office. The new administration’s stated goals combined with “the increased flow of migrants trying to illegally enter due to the perception related to Biden’s open border policies,” he stated.

“We knew our facilities would become overwhelmed like they were in 2019,” the now-former commissioner explained. “Bottom line — we’re getting ready for another illegal immigration surge.”

“CBP is moving forward with plans for the mobilization of soft-side facilities (SSF) in Donna, Texas,” CBP officials said in a written statement. “A lease with the city of Donna was awarded on January 15, 2021.” The agency received a notice to proceed on the day before Biden’s inauguration. The official reported the “processing facility” should be completed in about 30 days.

During President Biden’s first day in office, he signed executive orders to end the MPP program that allowed officials to return “asylum-seekers” to wait in Mexico for a future hearing date.

Morgan said the MPP program effectively ended the catch and release program of the Obama administration. “Without the remaining Title 42 protocols, the current levels of border crossings would become a crisis overnight.”

The Title 42 Coronavirus protection protocols put in place by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authorize Border Patrol agents to return illegal border crossers back to Mexico or their country of origin. Morgan previously told Breitbart that 90 percent of apprehended migrants are returned within two hours of their arrest.

Breitbart reached out to CBP and the CDC on Thursday to inquire about MPP and Title 42. Both agencies referred questions to the White House and did not respond as of press time.

CBP officials did say the new Donna processing center will be about 20 miles from the Rio Grande Valley Sector’s existing processing center.

Currently, Guatemalan officials are waging an all-out effort to stop nearly 10,000 mostly Honduran migrants from making their way through that country to Mexico. The migrants illegally pushed their way into Guatemala over the weekend and faced a massive effort by Guatemalan security forces to stop them.

United Airlines CEO wants to make Covid vaccines mandatory for the company’s employees

United Airlines’ CEO wants to make Covid-19 vaccines mandatory for employees and is encouraging other companies do the same.

It’s a stance that differs from what some other carriers and companies have recently said. United had more than 60,000 active U.S. employees at the end of 2020 and has sent recall notices to some 17,000 other workers whose jobs were cut last year.

“The worst thing that I believe I will ever do in my career is the letters that I have written to the surviving family members of coworkers that we have lost to the coronavirus,” CEO Scott Kirby said at an employee town hall Thursday, a transcript of which was reviewed by CNBC. “And so, for me, because I have confidence in the safety of the vaccine – and I recognize it’s controversial – I think the right thing to do is for United Airlines, and for other companies, to require the vaccines and to make them mandatory.”

Kirby acknowledged logistical challenges to getting staff vaccinated.

Airline employees are considered essential workers and are among the first groups to receive the vaccines. But the rollout so far has been slow and chaotic with the nation running behind targets.

“I don’t think United will get away with and can realistically be the only company that requires vaccines and makes them mandatory,” he said. “We need some others. We need some others to show leadership. Particularly in the healthcare industry.”

In the staff note, it said it’s working with government officials and health-care providers to set up vaccine distribution centers at some of its big hubs.

Southwest Airlines last week said it does not “currently” require employees to get Covid-19 vaccines but said it strongly encouraged staff to do so.

American Airlines has a similar approach, telling employees last week that “We do not plan to require our team members to receive the vaccine unless vaccinations are ultimately mandated for entry to certain destinations.

Facebook made 94% of all child sex abuse image reports by tech firms last year

Facebook was responsible for 94% of the 69 million child sex abuse images reported by American technology companies last year.

The figures emerged as seven countries, including the UK, published a statement on Sunday warning of the impact of end-to-end encryption on public safety online.

Facebook has previously announced plans to fully encrypt communications in its Messenger app, as well as its Instagram Direct service – on top of WhatsApp, which is already encrypted – meaning no-one apart from the sender and recipient can read or modify messages.

The social network said the changes are designed to improve user privacy on all of its platforms.

But law enforcement agencies fear the move will have a devastating impact on their ability to target paedophiles and protect children online.

Last year, some 16.9 million referrals were made by US tech firms to the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), including 69 million images of children being abused – up 50% on the previous year.

Some 94% of the reports, which include the worst category of images, came from Facebook, Home Office officials said.

But the National Crime Agency (NCA) has warned the number could drop to zero if Facebook presses ahead with end-to-end encryption.

Robert Jones, the NCA director responsible for tackling child sexual abuse, said of the plan: “The lights go out, the door gets slammed, and we lose all of that insight. It is as simple as that.

“And nothing, you know we’re relying on the best technical expertise… in the UK, the same people that keep the UK safe against terrorists, hostile states, cyber-attacks, are telling us there is no viable alternative. I believe them. And I am deeply concerned.”

The NCA believes there are at least 300,000 people in the UK who pose a sexual threat to children, with 86,832 UK-related referrals to NCMEC last year, including 52% from Facebook and 11% from Instagram.

Mr Jones said industry reporting led to the arrest of more than 4,500 offenders and the safeguarding of around 6,000 children in the UK in the year to June 2020.

Microsoft files a patent to bring back dead loved ones as AI “chatbots” from their digital harvested data

Microsoft has been granted a patent that would allow the company to make a chatbot using the personal information of deceased people.

The patent describes creating a bot based on the “images, voice data, social media posts, electronic messages”, and more personal information.

“The specific person [who the chat bot represents] may correspond to a past or present entity (or a version thereof), such as a friend, a relative, an acquaintance, a celebrity, a fictional character, a historical figure, a random entity etc”, it goes on to say.

“The specific person may also correspond to oneself (e.g., the user creating/training the chat bot,” Microsoft also describes – implying that living users could train a digital replacement in the event of their death.

Microsoft has even included the notion of 2D or 3D models of specific people being generated via images and depth information, or video data.

The idea that you would be able, in the future, to speak to a simulation of someone who has passed on is not new. It is famously the plot of the Black Mirror episode “Be Right Back”, where a young woman uses a service to scrape data from her deceased partner to create a chatbot – and eventually a robot.

In October 2020, Kanye West bought Kim Kardashian West a hologram of her late father, Robert Kardashian, to celebrate her 40th birthday, further cementing the idea of digital representations of the dead that can more authentically communicate with the living.

A large US military convoy entered northeastern Syria on Thursday, Syrian state news agency SANA reports, citing sources on the ground.

It entered Syria from Iraq via the al-Waleed crossing to bring arms and logistical equipment to the bases in Hasakeh and Deir Ezzor provinces.
