The only man in the bible with the number 666 associated with him is Solomon. He was famous for his Wisdom.
That's two markers in the verse pointing to the same man.
Solomon was the Son of David and Bathsheba. He thought God meant him as the descendant of David who would build a house for the Lord, and he had the first temple built. He is the one who many believed Jesus was the re-incarnation of.

Did you see or do you remember the Q&A with a Rothschild? They believe they are simply "placeholders" in the bloodline.
