In 1985, a chemist at Dupont synthesized 3-methyl fentanyl, during work hours. He claimed it was his idea, and that he could prepare new, unregulated, and completely legal designer drugs just by altering the structures. I always thought it amazing that he could do that at work. Now I believe it was probably with the knowledge and direction of the company itself.
