‘Big Tech in Bed With US Government’, Manipulating Policy Decisions Slammed as Travesty by Expert

Dave Clark, the incoming CEO of Amazon’s retail unit, earlier offered US President Joe Biden the e-commerce giant's ‘operational reach’ in his much-touted 100-day mission to boost COVID-19 vaccination across the nation, yet raised questions as to why the company seemingly baulked at offering to help the Trump administration’s COVID response.

After prominent e-commerce firm Amazon became the latest in a lineup of big tech companies throwing their support behind the US vaccine rollout plans hailed by the administration of Joe Biden as a way to reboot the COVID-19 response, ostensibly botched by Donald Trump, questions have been raised.

Critics on both the left and the right of the political spectrum have wondered why the company seemed to have waited for Democrat Biden to take office before offering assistance to the federal government.

In a letter to Joe Biden, top exec Dave Clark congratulated both the newly-elected president and his vice president Kamala Harris on their new posts following Inauguration Day, before proceeding to inform them that the company was geared up to provide its operational reach to “make a meaningful impact” on the administration’s ambitious vaccination plans.

“We have an agreement in place with a licensed third-party occupational health care provider to administer vaccines on-site at our Amazon facilities. We are prepared to move quickly once vaccines are available,” wrote the incoming chief executive officer of Amazon’s retail unit, in a reference to the world's largest online retailer’s own effort to provide vaccines to its 800,000-plus workforce.

“Additionally, we are prepared to leverage our operations, information technology, and communications capabilities and expertise to assist your administration's vaccination efforts,” reads the letter, dated 20 January.

It was unclear how and if the Biden administration responded to the offer to tap into the tech giant’s logistical resources to boost help in the vaccine distribution programme.

In response to reports of Amazon's letter, two senior Trump administration officials told Fox Business that Amazon officials had never made such a direct offer to the former commander-in-chief.

Amazon did not offer any official response to speculations over the role of politics in the differing approaches to the two US administrations on the part of the company.

HOT MIC: Biden Says ‘I Don’t Know What I’m Signing,’ Signs Executive Order Anyway

In the video, an unidentified person told Biden to "sign it anyway," so he did.

Joe Biden said “I don’t know what I’m signing” on camera as he proceeded to sign an unknown executive order. In the video posted to BitChute, an unidentified person told him to “sign it anyways.”

This comes amid nationwide concerns over Biden’s apparent cognitive decline.

The video shows Biden, without a note of humor, say that he has no idea what executive order he is signing. Another person then gestures toward Biden’s left hand.

Biden then proceeds to sign it anyway.

The this is not the first questionable situation we’ve seen in the first three days Biden administration. As seen in another video on Inauguration Day, Biden robotically stated aloud “Salute the Marines” as he and his wife Jill entered the Capitol. Biden never actually saluted the marines, as National File reported.

“The awkward interaction appears to have been prompted by someone communicating with Biden via earpiece,” National File reported. “Which has become a staple of the 78-year-old Biden’s public appearances due to numerous gaffes and instances of erratic behavior.”

Grassley Wants To Know How DOJ Found ‘No Wrongdoing’ In Michael Flynn Leak Probe

Sen. Chuck Grassley on Friday called on the Justice Department to explain its decision to close an investigation into leaks of information about former national security adviser Michael Flynn with a finding of no wrongdoing on the part of Obama administration officials.

The New York Times reported Tuesday that federal prosecutors quietly closed a criminal probe into the leak of information to The Washington Post in 2017 regarding Flynn’s phone calls in December 2016 with then-Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

According to The Times, prosecutors in the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C. who were investigating the leak found “no wrongdoing” on the part of Obama administration officials.

The investigation focused on leaks to Post columnist David Ignatius, who reported on Jan. 12, 2017, that Flynn had spoken with Kislyak, possibly about U.S. sanctions against Russia.

The newspaper published another article on Feb. 8, 2017 with additional details of Flynn’s conversation with Kislyak. It was later revealed that the FBI intercepted the phone call as part of routine surveillance on Kislyak.

It is not clear whether prosecutors identified the sources for the articles.

The Ignatius column set in motion a series of events that led the FBI to interview Flynn at the White House on Jan. 24, 2017. Flynn pleaded guilty on Dec. 1, 2017, to lying in the interview about his conversation with Kislyak. Flynn sought to rescind his guilty plea last year, saying that he did not intentionally lie during the interview.

Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, first pressed the Justice Department and FBI in 2017 for a transcript of Flynn’s calls with Kislyak, which were considered highly classified. The Iowa Republican also pushed for investigations into the leak.

In a letter Friday to Monty Montgomery, the acting attorney general, Grassley asked that the Justice Department turn over all records related to the leak investigation by Feb. 5.

War With Russia – Last Hope Of Globalists

In the span of just one stint in the presidency, Donald Trump, with some assistance from MSM and a good part of the Washington establishment, has faced two impeachments. Finally, he has managed to lose the Presidency, the House of Representatives and Congress. “Make America Great Again” has become the slogan of dissidents.

The Trump supporters who stormed the Capitol building were dubbed “domestic terrorists”. The US President – Donald Trump – was permanently banned from mainstream social media, accused of inciting violence and of having revealed himself as a “complete tool of Russian President Vladimir Putin.”

He was in his last days of office, and still the Democratic Party, headed by Nancy Pelosi, wished to impeach him in order to send a message to those who disagree with the rule of neo-liberalism that’s being imposed.

Resistance, evidently, is futile. The new authority has already begun to implement its own rules of the game, imposing a new “normality” and erasing any “red lines”. Democracy in the traditional understanding of this term has publicly ceased to be a political reality in the United States.

The U.S. military is removing any “potentially offensive” unit emblems, as well as its motto.

U.S. citizens are giving away the identities of their loved ones, because they are Trump supporters or took part in the Capitol storming.

Now we see only the beginning of the creation of a new type of dictatorship. Further fierce witch-hunts hidden behind claims of fighting against oppression and hate are to be expected. The Republican Party has all but capitulated to the Democrats and the new Presidential administration. Big Tech has also gained unprecedented power, resulting in a previously unthinkable censorship and the total control of public opinion. In spite of the fact that the mainstream propaganda engine is heavy and corrupt, the huge and direct support it is getting from Big Tech and government allows it to dominate the media space, especially when alternative sources of information can be simply cut off.

Amid a major split between Americans after the presidential elections, the main theme of the inauguration of Joe Biden will be “United America”, which should reflect his commitment to unify the country.

Meanwhile in the current political conditions any real consolidation of national unity can only be achieved if a significant external threat appears. Thus, the United States desperately needs an enemy. Customarily this would remain China and Russia and indeed this is unlikely to change – they need to be made to appear as ever worsening adversaries.

After all, Trump, a “tool of Putin” incited supporters to attempt the destruction of American democracy. There is no choice but to fight against this powerful enemy in the guise of Moscow.

Pakistani girl chained up, raped for five months while police did nothing

The father of a young girl who was allegedly kidnapped, raped and forced to marry a middle-aged man has blasted authorities.

The father of a Pakistani girl who was allegedly kidnapped, raped and forced to marry a middle-aged man who kept her chained up for five months has slammed the country’s authorities for doing nothing to save his daughter.

Farah Shaheen was just 12 years old when she was abducted last June by a man who ran the business below her family’s home in Faisalabad, Pakistan’s third-most populous city.

Her brother, Afzaal Masih told Asia News International he and their uncle, Kashif Masih, heard his sister crying on June 25 and raced to help, but they were too late.

The pair saw Farah being dragged off by Muhammad Zahid, the business owner, and another man, Khizr Ahmed Ali (Hayat), into a car.

When Farah’s father, Asif Masih, begged authorities to help, he said they refused.

After being kidnapped, Farah’s family said she was forced to renounce her Christian faith and convert to Islam, before Mr Ahmed, believed to be in his early 40s, “married” her.

In a statement to Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), Mr Masih said his daughter was chained up and forced to work all day “as a slave”, damaging her hands and feet in the process.

“Farah has told me she was treated like a slave. She was forced to work all day, cleaning filth in a cattle yard,” he said, adding she was attached to a chain “24-7”.

“She was sexually assaulted by her abductor and raped multiple times by (his) landlords.”

Mr Masih said police insisted that his daughter had gone with Mr Zahid and Mr Ahmed willingly, adding a medical report – commissioned by the courts assessing the legitimacy of her marriage – claimed Farah was between the ages of 16 and 17, not 12.

“The findings of this medical report we, as a family, dismiss as an utter fabrication, a travesty of justice and an insult to the independence of the medical profession,” Mr Masih said.

“It is an outright lie.”

Police Arrest Over 2,000 at Russia Protests Backing Jailed Kremlin Foe Navalny

MOSCOW—Police detained over 2,000 people and used force to break up rallies across Russia on Saturday as tens of thousands of protesters ignored extreme cold and police warnings to demand the release of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny.

Navalny had called on his supporters to protest after being arrested last weekend as he returned to Russia from Germany for the first time since being poisoned with a nerve agent he says was slipped to him by state security agents in August.

The authorities had warned people to stay away from Saturday’s protests, saying they risked catching COVID-19 as well as prosecution and possible jail time for attending an unauthorised event.

But protesters defied the ban and, in at least one case in temperatures below -50 Celsius (-58 Fahrenheit), turned out in force. Leonid Volkov, a Navalny ally, called on them to do the same next weekend to try to free Navalny from what he called “the clutches of his killers”.

In central Moscow, where Reuters reporters estimated at least 40,000 people had gathered in one of the biggest unauthorised rallies for years, police were seen roughly detaining people, bundling them into nearby vans.

The authorities said just some 4,000 people had shown up, while the foreign ministry questioned Reuters’ crowd estimate.

“Why not just immediately say 4 million?,” it suggested sarcastically on its official Telegram messenger channel.

Ivan Zhdanov, a Navalny ally, put turnout in the capital at 50,000, the Proekt media outlet reported.

Sidney Powell Launches Super PAC to ‘Fight Vigorously for Our Constitutional Rights’

Attorney Sidney Powell, who filed third-party election lawsuits on behalf of former President Donald Trump, has launched a Super PAC dedicated to a range of aims, including freedom of speech, Constitutional rights, and “the sacred right of free and fair elections.”

In a statement on Saturday, Powell announced the launch of the Restore the Republic Super PAC, which is an independent expenditure-only political action committee that may receive unlimited contributions and may engage in unlimited political spending on initiatives, provided it does not coordinate directly with campaigns or candidates.

A Jan. 22 filing with the Federal Elections Commission shows Powell as the entity’s Custodian of Records, while former Trump campaign attorney Jesse Binnall serves as the Super PAC’s Treasurer.

Powell said what prompted the move is that Americans are “starved for truth, restoration of the Rule of Law, and even-handed accountability,” and are fed up with government corruption and an “elitist political class that views them with condescension and contempt.”

“The American people deserve a voice that exposes and rejects the self-interest of political parties, the control of tech giants, and the lies of the fake news,” she said.

Vowing to be a “voice for honesty, integrity, and a return to government by We the People,” Powell said the Restore the Republic Super PAC “will be dedicated to supporting candidates who will fight vigorously for our Constitutional rights, freedom of speech, and the sacred right of free and fair elections.”

“The PAC will promote candidates who fight for truth and the Rule of Law, and we will strenuously oppose any candidate who discards the Constitution for his own short term or political gain—regardless of her party,” she said.

Powell, who successfully defended retired Army Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, was introduced by the Trump legal team in November, although the team later distanced themselves from her and said she wasn’t working on their behalf.

She is known for filing a number of contest-of-election lawsuits in the wake of the November election, which claimed fraud and other irregularities.

On the eve of President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Powell withdrew her lawsuit in the U.S. Supreme Court challenging Georgia’s election results. She and other attorneys on the case filed an appeal with the high court after the case was struck down in district court for lack of standing and being brought too late.

Of the dozens of post-election lawsuits filed by the Trump legal team and supporters, just one ended up netting a win, striking down a deadline extension to correct mail-in ballots in Pennsylvania that were missing proof of identification.
