Can agree to this.
But, what if airing all countries dirty secrets caused even greater harm? Say we declass a snippet and that snippet pisses off another country that had no idea and they in-turn launch an attack against the first country?
Say we tell someones deepest secret and they say fuck it and launch nukes in retaliation?
Say the deepest secret of all is our true place in this universe, our past, and future, and that truth sends millions into psychosis or mass suicides?
Which would be better in these cases? Either way we have no way of knowing without actually knowing.
