I spent 35 yrs operating a masonry business all cash. Never paid taxes on any of it. Retired now due to serious physical issues from doing the work. However I have a farm deep in the woods all paid for 3 trucks a tractor a Harley all equipment everything owned and no credit cards or mortgages. Sitting very comfy. can relax and watch the world burn, no debt free to do as I wish. As long as I do not interfere with government it doesnt interfere with me

I'm 55 spouseanon is 52, both debt free with nice portfolio to survive for many years. Never took money from government except when I was in service. Left after 10 yrs. 12 yrs in college for 3 degrees I never use. Raised 5 kids, paid off 3 houses. Divorced 1x, cash was the only way to go. Now sitting like a king with no debt in the way. Love it. Never lived above means and actually lived under to make sure of future.
