>I found out I can become a citizen of Italy

One advantage is you can move to any EU country with that citizenship.

Biggest advantage is even rural areas have good services and you may not need a car. In some areas it's like going back to the 50'-60's US with small community services.

>From what I am told living there now is like living here 40 to 50 years ago society wise

Just wrote a post to the anon getting an Italian citizenship. Told him the same thing. I'm in Europe now. Rural communities are still like the US in the 50-60's wrt services, shops, etc.

I'm rural with farming around me.

Congress is trying to get Trump on inciting imminent lawless action. Brandenbueg vs Ohio.

This goes into 1st A rights. Brandenburg Vs Ohio basically overturned the Schenck vs US determination that knowingly giving false information to undermine an administration was not protected speech. YThe, "Yelling fire in a crowd when you know there wasn't a fire", speech came out of this decision.

Brandenburg vs Ohio determined in 1969 that the only non-protected speech was inciting behavior that could lead to imminent lawlessness. It was a KKK case.

My take is congress is trying to get their ass out of sling with this move. Turnabout could be if Trump has proof someone else incited the Capitol break-in.
