It's moar of a heart issue and no I don't hear audible voices… God speaks to me mostly by images which could be comprehended in any language. Also by bringing my attention to something and giving me an internal nudge. Sometimes thru something even an unbeliever happens to say.
I don't want to limit God or rather put God in a box on how he choses to speak to anyone.
Something to keep in mind… He is good and has good intentions toward you/us.
Most important… spend some time getting to know Him by reading the Bible… Doesn't matter what book, chapter, verse. I met Him reading Ezekiel which most Bible scholars don't recommend… good thing I didn't wait to consult them.
