I do wonder how many of those who marched in the wimple actually read that book. And I wonder how much those who did read the book understand how fine the line between theocracy and technocracy actually is. The fact is, they're really just the same thing in the end. Same bullshit, different gods–and both gods are false gods. Real God doesn't want you to wear a wimple and be a baby factory, and He doesn't want you to wear a mask either. Real God wants you to be a fucking normal human being.

It's a valid point. Napoleon has always been smeared by mainstream historians as a tyrant, but if you look at the situation current to him, it seems clear that the establishment of the time, i.e. the powerful monarchies, wrote all that into our historical record on purpose. He was the face of Republican France, and they could not allow that Republican France to existhence the Napoleonic Wars. IMO, he was basically the Trump of 1800, and got treated the same way for the same reasons. All of Europe started fucking with France because they couldn't allow democracy to happen, and he fucked them right backwhich is why they've tried so hard to paint this picture of him as a ridiculous little dictator who came and went. Not dissimilar to what they're trying to do to Trump right now. They always do the same thing, because they're too fucking stupid to do anything new.
