The Police State Is Coming For “Religious Extremists”, “Evangelical Christians”, “Pro-Life” Activists And “Libertarians”
If you cherish faith, family and freedom, you might want to keep a low profile for a while. The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act of 2021 has been unveiled in Congress, and it has bipartisan support. It is essentially “the Patriot Act on steroids”, and we are being told that it is almost certain that some version of the legislation will make it to Biden’s desk for him to sign. Personally, I am very much against all forms of domestic terrorism, and a law which could help to prevent terror attacks from happening is going to sound like a good thing to a lot of people. Unfortunately, it appears that this bill is meant to specifically target certain groups, and as you read this article you may discover that you are a member of one or more of those groups.
Those that drafted this new law say that it will help authorities go after “extremists”, and very few of us would consider ourselves to be one of those.
But the definition of an extremist has changed. Tulsi Gabbard is one of the most prominent Democrats in the House of Representatives, and last year she ran for president. But even though she is a Democrat, she is warning that this new law appears to be “a targeting of almost half of the country”…
“What characteristics are we looking for as we are building this profile of a potential extremist, what are we talking about? Religious extremists, are we talking about Christians, evangelical Christians, what is a religious extremist? Is it somebody who is pro-life? Where do you take this?” Gabbard said.
She said the proposed legislation could create “a very dangerous undermining of our civil liberties, our freedoms in our Constitution, and a targeting of almost half of the country.”
It is fundamentally un-American to specifically target people for their religious beliefs, and so that is extremely alarming.
Gabbard is also warning that people with certain political perspectives are likely to be targeted as well…
“You start looking at obviously, have to be a white person, obviously likely male, libertarians, anyone who loves freedom, liberty, maybe has an American flag outside their house, or people who, you know, attended a Trump rally,” Gabbard said.

Italy’s Conte Expected to Quit Within 24 Hours to Plot Comeback
(Bloomberg) — Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is expected to resign in the next 24 hours to avoid a damaging defeat in the Senate and maneuver to return at the head of a new government.
Bloomberg Giuseppe ConteThe idea is that by preemptively offering his resignation to President Sergio Mattarella, who oversees the formation of ruling coalitions, Conte will then get asked to have another shot at putting together a government, according to officials who asked not to be named discussing confidential deliberations.
It could all come to a head on Tuesday, the officials said. Conte may first brief his cabinet and then go to meet the head of state to formally ask for authorization to try to cobble together a third coalition.
The Five Star Movement, the biggest force in the current parliament, and lawmakers of the center-left Democratic Party are both urging the premier to resign after a junior ally ditched the alliance, officials said.
The trigger is a vote in the Senate later this week and the parliamentary math does not add up, hence the latest gambit for Conte’s political survival. Five Star has plunged in the polls and stands to lose the most if the government collapses and Mattarella decides early elections are unavoidable.

After resisting pressure to quit following the defection earlier this month of the Italy Alive party led by former Premier Matteo Renzi, Conte may conclude that resigning now and coming back to head a “unity government” is his best option, the officials said.
There is also the fact that Renzi and Conte have a long-festering dislike of each other and have been ill at ease in a coalition of mutual convenience.
Conte could seek to forge a new coalition, this time possibly with centrists, unaffiliated lawmakers, Renzi’s Italy Alive party or members of it, as well as lawmakers from Silvio Berlusconi’s center-right Forza Italia, the officials said.
Since the premier still needs about a dozen extra votes before the Senate ballot on the annual report of his justice minister, most likely Wednesday or Thursday, his resignation gambit would be strategic.

“Elections have consequences,” it is often said… and rightfully so. An upgrade to this sage maxim, however, is in order: “Stolen elections have dire consequences.”
Just ask the people of Venezuela, Cuba and all those who have lived under totalitarian regimes whose rulers still pretend to hold regular ballot contests.

Having pulled off their Great Steal, the Democrats now seek to implement measures that would ensure that they will never again be dislodged from power by fair and transparent elections.
They wasted no time before they began putting safeguards in place. Among the onslaught of initiatives they launched in the first days of the Biden regime, their primary focus is to secure a perpetual lock on the country’s electoral process.
Their effort is three-pronged:
Codify and enshrine into law the mechanisms were used to carry out the Great Steal of 2020.
Officially designate the opposition as “Enemies of the People,” which, in the American context, go by names such as domestic terrorists, racists and white supremacists.
Import insurmountable numbers of potential voters by granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens (estimates run from eleven to twenty-five million).
As concerns the first point, the Democrats rushed to re-introduce H.R.1, the so-called For the People Act of 2021.

44,000 School Buses Use "FirstACTS" To Secretly Identify And Track The Behavior of 5 Million Students
A Scottish company called FirstGroup uses 44,000 First Students Inc., school buses to secretly monitor the behavior of more than 5 million students.
First Student school buses come equipped with mirror grids, Wi-Fi, two-way radios and surveillance cameras.
"Just as the transportation industry continuously improves passenger bus safety, we at First Student also look for ways to improve driver safety and comfort and bus drivability. The First Student school bus isn’t what you saw on the road five years ago; it’s more advanced, comfortable and reliable."
What makes First Students' school bus surveillance so "advanced, comfortable and reliable"? Is their ability to record and track an individual student's behavior in real-time.
All of First Student's 44,000 school buses come equipped with their proprietary "Active Conduct Tracking System" or FirstACTS.
According to FirstACTS, they provide administrators with student misbehavior trend data and a students individual behavior history as soon as they step onto a school bus.
The types of things a student can be reported for reads like an inmate information handbook.
According to the video, FirstACTS allows administrators to file incident reports for things like "student insubordination, excessive talking, profanity, eating or drinking and possession of injurious articles." Which is defined as "bringing articles of injurious or objectionable nature aboard the bus," whatever that means.
Curiously or perhaps by design, they failed to mention that law enforcement probably has access to this data.
As FirstACTS Buffalo, New York explains, "FirstACTS connects all stakeholders - the driver, the parent, the school district - to identify, communicate and quickly resolve student behavior management issues."
A Buffalo, New York FirstACTS training document is a little more revealing.
"Student conduct issues on even a single bus route can throw off the whole school day for students, parents or caregivers, and school officials."
"School officials" can include law enforcement.
Law enforcement could use FirstACTS to view "preloaded student" information as a student enters a school bus, without the student[s] or their families knowledge.
Preloaded student and driver information makes it easy to report student behavior incidents.
Student incident histories can be easily searched to quickly identify trends for prompt action.
Timely information provided to you quickly after the event, with the option to upload into your Student Information System.
Administrators identify appropriate personnel to receive incident notifications and reports, ensuring privacy.
Authorities also use FirstACTS to "confidentially" track a students' behavior histories.
"The application is safe and secure, allowing you to confidentially track student behavior history, identify trends, and send incident reports to the appropriate personnel."
The sheer scale of FirstACTS secret student behavior surveillance program is a mind-boggling.
According to First Student, there are also 1,100 school districts secretly spying on the behavior of more than 5 million children. Which makes Florida's secret law enforcement schoolkid criminal grading system, look like child's play. (pun intended).
Why are we letting school officials and law enforcement create secret behavior management profiles of our children? Will law enforcement and airlines use behavior management profiles to blacklist a child or put them on a no-fly list?
It is stories like this that force all of us to question why we are allowing police in our schools.

Man Who Allegedly Plotted Attacks on White House, Trump Tower, Admits To Conspiracy
In San Antonio today, 22-year-old Cost resident Jaylyn Christopher Molina, aka Abdur Rahim, admitted to conspiring to provide material support to the designated foreign terrorist organization Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham/Syria (ISIS), announced Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas Gregg N. Sofer and FBI Special Agent in Charge of the San Antonio Division Christopher Combs.
Appearing before U.S. Magistrate Judge Richard Farrer, Molina pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to provide material support to ISIS and one count of receiving child pornography. By pleading guilty, Molina admitted that since May 2019, he conspired with 34-year-old South Carolina resident Kristopher Sean Matthews, aka Ali Jibreel, and others to provide services to ISIS by administering an encrypted, members-only chat group for persons who supported ISIS ideology; by collecting, generating and disseminating pro-ISIS propaganda; by attempting to recruit individuals to join ISIS; and by disseminating bomb-making instructions.
The duo was previously accused of discussing traveling to Syria to fight with the Islamic State group or carrying out attacks at Trump Tower, the White House, the New York Stock Exchange or the headquarters of federal law enforcement agencies, according to court records.
Molina also pleaded guilty to one count of receiving child pornography. On Sept. 18, 2020, federal authorities executing a search warrant at the defendant’s residence seized his cell phone, which contained 18 images depicting child pornography.
Molina faces up to 20 years in federal prison on the conspiracy charge and up to 20 years in federal prison on the child pornography charge. He remains in federal custody pending sentencing.
On Nov. 24, 2020, Matthews pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge to provide material support to ISIS. Matthews, who remains in federal custody, faces up to 20 years in federal prison. Sentencing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. CST on March 4, 2021, before Chief U.S. District Judge Orlando L. Garcia in San Antonio.

As Apple, Google, Amazon Ban Parler, Twitter Allegedly Profited by Refusing to Remove Child Porn
As TFTP reported earlier this month, Parler has been a haven for those who have been banned, deleted, or otherwise algorithmed into the memory hole by establishment media platforms. Users moved to Parler because the platform claimed not to censor their content and it was safe space for MAGA folks. For over a year, Parler has remained an open network where pro-Trump users largely proceeded uncensored. Until now. Though the Parler url is still active, it is no longer a functioning social media site.
In the middle of the night on January 11, Amazon took down Parler from its web-hosting service. Amazon Web Services, or AWS said Parler had violated its terms of service given its inadequate content-moderation practices for failing to remove posts glorifying the recent riot at the U.S. Capitol. Google and Apple joined in as well, ensuring that Parler is deplatformed indefinitely.
This move came on the heels of a massive purge of tens of thousands of pro-Trump folks who allegedly espoused ridiculous Qanon theories. It was bad enough that these folks were duped into following the psyop known as Q. Now, however, instead of realizing the absurdity of these ideas as they are debunked in the public arena, that is no longer an option. Now, they will grasp onto these whacky ideas as the massive monopolistic power of tech behemoths imposing their neoliberal will on them gives them justification for doing so.
In the meantime, however, the social media giants Twitter and Facebook remain unfazed as they keep their insidious relationships with the US government thriving. While banning Trump for his speech during the riots at the capitol, Twitter is alleged in a lawsuit to have victimized a child by knowingly allowing a video of him to go viral.
The boy and his mother are now suing the platform alleging that it benefitted financially by failing to remove the video featuring the child and another minor — which was retweeted thousands of times and garnered nearly 200,000 views.
To be clear, this was not a mistake that simply didn’t pick up on the nature of the content. The boy and his mother, according to the lawsuit, repeatedly contacted Twitter about the content, but the social media giant allegedly didn’t suspend accounts distributing it until a federal agent from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) intervened.
In fact, according to the lawsuit, Twitter even responded to the boy and his mother via email and said the child porn did not violate its policies. According to the suit, an email shows Twitter telling John Doe on Jan. 28, 2020, that it “reviewed the content, and didn’t find a violation of our policies, so no action will be taken at this time.”
“What do you mean you don’t see a problem?” the minor asks in a response that same day. “We both are minors right now and were minors at the time these videos were taken. We both were 13 years of age.”
A subsequent screen shot shows that the video accumulated 167,000 views within a day and received more than 2,200 retweets and 6,640 likes.
The video made its way to Twitter after the boy was tricked into sharing the content with a fake account on Snapchat. The account belonged to child traffickers posing as a 16-year-old girl and they blackmailed the boy into sending in the video.

House Democrats present Trump impeachment charge to the Senate, allowing trial to begin
Trump will be tried for 'incitement of insurrection'
House Democrats presented an article of impeachment against Donald Trump to the Senate on Monday night, kicking off proceedings for an unprecedented second trial that could have major consequences for the former president's future political prospects.
Rep. Jamie Raskin of Maryland, one of nine House Democrats named as prosecutors in the upcoming trial, read the article of impeachment on the Senate floor. In his address, Raskin quoted from Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which he said "prohibits any person who has "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the United States from holding any office under the United States."
"President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government," the article of impeachment says. "He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transfer of power, and imperiled a coequal branch of government.
"He thereby betrayed his trust as president to the manifest injury of the people of the United States, wherefore, Donald John Trump has demonstrated that he will remain a threat to national security, democracy and the Constitution if allowed to remain in office and has acted in a manner grossly incompatible with self-governance and the rule of law," the article adds.
Trump will stand trial weeks after the House voted to impeach him on a single count of "incitement of insurrection." Critics argued his challenge of the 2020 election results provoked his supporters to overrun the Capitol. If Trump is convicted on the impeachment charge, the Senate could proceed with a second vote to bar Trump from holding political office in the future, effectively scuttling aspirations for a 2024 run.
The impeachment trial will proceed on a schedule crafted through an agreement between newly minted Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. Senate members will be sworn into their roles in the impeachment trial on Tuesday.
At that point, both the House members selected as prosecutors and Trump’s defense team will have two weeks to craft their legal briefs and arguments. The trial itself is slated to begin on Tuesday, Feb. 9, weeks after Trump’s final day in office.
Trump is the only president in history to be impeached twice and the only former president subjected to an impeachment trial following his exit from office. Trump was acquitted in his first impeachment trial on charges that he abused the power of his office by allegedly pressuring Ukraine to aid his re-election bid.
Butch Bowers, a prominent South Carolina attorney known for defending state Republicans, will anchor Trump’s second impeachment defense team. Aside from Raskin, The nine House Democrats chosen to prosecute the case include Rep. Eric Swalwell and Rep. Ted Lieu, both of California.
A total of 10 House Republicans joined in with Democrats to vote in favor of impeachment. In order to convict Trump on the charge in a Senate trial, at least 17 Republicans would have to cross party lines to vote with Democrats.

Chicago Teachers Union Defies Reopening Plan
The Chicago Teachers Union voted Sunday night to continue remote learning, defying the Chicago Public Schools district's plan to reopen schools Monday.
Seventy-one percent of participating teachers' union members voted to continue teaching remotely despite the school district's plan to return K-8 students to classroom learning beginning Feb. 1. Teachers and staff had been asked to return to in-person work on Monday. Following the vote, the district said it pushed back the return of teachers and staff to Wednesday.
The Chicago Teachers Union released a list of demands in December calling on the district to prioritize teachers for the coronavirus vaccine. According to union attorney Thad Goodchild, the union now wants teachers and staff to continue working from home until they are vaccinated, which won't be until mid-February at the earliest. Teachers are now eligible for the first dose of the vaccine under Illinois's vaccination distribution plan.
The union also demanded that the district allow staff with medically vulnerable family members to work remotely even after being vaccinated. Teachers will go back to school "when [the district] can demonstrate" that the demands have been met, the union said, adding that its list was not "exhaustive."
Negotiations for in-person learning have stalled between the union and Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot (D.), despite more than 50 meetings. The union has shot down every school reopening plan to date. At one point, the union claimed that reopening schools was sexist, racist, and misogynistic despite evidence that school closures have exacerbated racial inequality.
Research has also found that in-school transmission of COVID-19 is extremely rare. An American Academy of Pediatrics study concluded "schools can stay open safely in communities with widespread community transmission."
The district and city have worked to quell the fears of union members by spending more than $100 million on masks, personal protective equipment, and other measures to return students and teachers to the classroom safely.
Neither the Chicago Teachers Union nor Chicago Public Schools responded to requests for comment.

“If you go to Joe Biden’s followers, I’d say at least 70 percent of them all joined [Twitter] in January and have zero followers,” she continues.
Biden currently has 6.3 million Twitter followers. Prior to Twitter suspending former President Donald Trump’s account, he had approximately 88.7 million followers.
While Biden set a record allegedly earning more than 81.2 million votes, surpassing Barack Obama’s previous record of 69.5 million, his purported popularity does not translate to enthusiasm for his speeches.
YouTube is also doing damage control for Biden.
Every single video posted to the White House’s official YouTube channel since Biden’s inauguration has garnered significantly more downvotes than upvotes.
A 31-minute video of Biden’s inauguration, the most viewed video on the channel, amassed 43,000 “dislikes” and just 9,200 “likes.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki’s first press conference on Wednesday was massively downvoted by the American public on YouTube when Big Tech came to the new Democrat president’s rescue again and erased the downvotes by several thousand.

First Four Pawed Friends in Four Years: White House Welcomes Biden’s Dogs Champ And Major
Dogs have long enjoyed the privilege of residing in the White House, with President Warren G. Harding's Airedale Terrier Laddie Boy the first 'First Dog' to get regular press coverage. The last pups to join their owners in the White House were the Portuguese Water Dogs Bo and Sunny, belonging to President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle.
On Sunday, the two German shepherds Champ and Major belonging to US President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, officially moved to the official presidential residence in Washington DC. The two shelter dogs are the first pets to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue since the Obama administration, marking the return of a long-running tradition for US presidents.
After taking some time to settle down at the new residence, Dr. Jill Biden, tweeted the arrival of the celebrity pups; light brown with a dark muzzle Champ and his mostly black with light brown paws 'sibling' Major.

Champ has been with the Biden family since December 2008, after the presidential election that made Joe Biden vice president, while Major joined the Biden family more recently, in November 2018. He was adopted just months before Biden announced he would run for president in the 2020 presidential election. The furry companions are also the first shelter dogs to call the White House home.

All-female cast of winners take out Australia Day awards

National Guard Has No Plans to Investigate Leaked Photos of Troops in Parking Garage
While National Guard leaders are reminding their troops to run problems up their chains of command before going public, they don't plan to investigate who sent photos to media outlets last week showing dozens of troops resting on the floor of a parking garage, Maj. Gen. William Walker, commander of the District of Columbia National Guard, said on Monday.
Those photos resulted in a flurry of news reports and outcry from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle, who demanded that Guard members be allowed to return to the U.S. Capitol for their breaks.
"Three- or four-star generals and command sergeant majors have been out walking and talking to guardsmen," Walker said. "… If you had a problem with the break area, let someone in command know and we'll fix it. But there is no investigation."
Photos were sent to Politico and Task and Purpose the day after President Joe Biden's Jan. 20 inauguration. Nearly 26,000 Guard members from every state were sent into Washington, D.C. in recent weeks due to a breach of the Capitol by a violent mob Jan. 6.
Guard members told the outlets they felt betrayed after they were forced to leave the U.S. Capitol during their breaks. Instead, they were "forced to take shelter in the congressional garage," Politico reported on Thursday.
"Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service," one Guard member told the news outlet. "Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage."
Another told Task & Purpose the situation showed how politicians "really feel about the National Guard."
"Leaving our families for the last two weeks to come down here … it's certainly important and historic, but the day after inauguration you kick us literally to the curb? Come on, man," a Guard member said.
The stories and photos promoted lawmakers to demand investigations into the matter, and some offered up their offices as a break area for Guard members, so they didn't have to rest in a parking garage.
Walker stressed on Monday that all the Guard members based at the Capitol had hotel rooms.
"Nobody slept there," he said. "Nobody spent the night there."
The U.S. Capitol Police and National Guard last week issued a joint statement on Friday that said "appropriate spaces" within congressional buildings including the U.S. Capitol have been identified for on-duty breaks.

Democrats Have Released a Roadmap to One-Party Rule
The Democrats appear intent on instituting one-party rule in the United States.
They’re trying to use the U.S. Capitol riots as an excuse to criminalize dissent and banish conservative voices from the public sphere, and at the same time they’re hoping to use their temporary, razor-thin majority in Congress to rewrite the rules governing our elections in a way designed to keep the Democratic Party entrenched in power for decades to come.
In the House, Democrats have revived sweeping election reform legislation that died in the Senate during the previous session, perhaps hoping they can browbeat enough Republicans into going along with them. If that happens, the “Grand Old Party” of Abraham Lincoln might as well disband, because Republicans would never have any hope of regaining a congressional majority or controlling the White House under the rules that HR 1 would put in place.
Although the Constitution explicitly places state legislatures in charge of managing federal elections, HR 1 seeks to use the power of the purse to bludgeon the states into conforming to a centralized system pioneered in California and other deep-blue states. Congress can’t technically compel the states to change their voting laws, but seasoned politicians know that the states have become dependent on federal money to run their elections, and can’t afford to pick up the tab themselves.
To make matters worse, HR 1 declares that Congress possesses “ultimate supervisory power over Federal elections” — an extraordinary usurpation of governmental authority that the Founders specifically assigned to the states.
The 2020 election witnessed private interests dictating the manner in which the election was conducted in the nation’s urban cores. Mark Zuckerberg alone poured $419 million into this scheme.
The goal of centralizing power in the hands of the federal government has long been at the heart of liberal politics, and this legislation demonstrates why.
HR 1 would codify the very practices — many of them currently illegal in most states — that created widespread irregularities in the 2020 elections and contributed greatly to public mistrust of the electoral process. In 2020, state and local officials used the COVID-19 pandemic as justification to ignore or deliberately violate state election laws. If HR 1 is enacted, they won’t need any such excuse in 2022 because the states will have no choice but to implement policies such as legalized ballot harvesting, early voting, and universal mail-in voting, as well as repeal of voter ID laws, signature-matching laws, and other ballot security measures.
For example, HR 1 would allow ballot harvesting on steroids. Voters would — for the first time — have the ability to print out their ballots at home, creating a gaping security hole that could easily be exploited by either domestic or foreign interests. The legislation also allows third parties to collect ballots from an unlimited number of absentee voters and submit them through ballot drop boxes, dramatically increasing the risk that vulnerable Americans could be bullied, bribed, or blackmailed for their votes without the protection of election workers.
