Democrat impeachment attempt on a former President deemed unconstitutional in Senate vote, likely dooming the desperate partisan trial to fail in spectacular fashion

No less than 45 Republican senators voted Tuesday that the Democrat Party’s bizarre impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump is profoundly illegal and unconstitutional, following a rousing speech from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY. The largely symbolic vote indicates that Senate Democrats’ desperate attempt to impeach a President who has already left office will like fail in spectacular fashion if it reaches a vote on the Senate floor.

Sens. Mitt Romney (Utah), Ben Sasse (Neb.), Susan Collins (Maine), Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Pat Toomey (Pa.) made up the coalition of five Republicans who voted that the impeachment trial was constitutional. Their desperate attempt to sway the results of the impeachment proceeding still leaves Senate Democrats 12 votes shy of the 55 they would need to succeed in a future trial.

“The Chief Justice’s absence demonstrate that this is not a trial of the president, but one of a private citizen,” Paul said in an address to the Senate floor Tuesday. “Therefore I make a point of order that this proceeding, which would try a private citizen and not a president, a vice president or civil officer violates the Constitution, and is not an order.”

Paul also described the impeachment as “nothing more than a partisan exercise designed to further divide the country.”

Assuming no Republicans change their votes, President Trump will not be convicted in any future impeachment trial, as the Senate requires a two thirds majority to convict a sitting President. It is still unclear how the Senate has the Constitutional power to convict a former president.

The 'My Pillow' Guy Says, 'I Won't Bend to Cancel Culture' After Twitter Cancels Him For Election Fraud Talk

The “My Pillow” guy’s social credit score has taken a hit after Twitter scrubbed him for talking about — shhh! — election fraud.

Mike Lindell’s personal Twitter account was permanently scrubbed from the social media site for discussing fraudulent votes in the 2020 presidential election. The My Pillow CEO, a good friend and supporter of former President Trump, has claimed there’s ample evidence pointing to voter chicanery.

Dominion Voting Systems considered suing Lindell for trash-talking their product.

On Tuesday, Lindell said on the Rush Limbaugh radio program that he won’t stop talking about vote fraud.

I did nothing wrong. I only talked about these machines.

Twitter took this to mean that Lindell’s opinion was enough to “risk … further incitement of violence,” which the company cited as the reason it canceled him.

Lindell claimed on the radio show, guest-hosted on Tuesday by Mark Steyn, that during a previous suspension, when he was unable to see the activity on his account, someone – he believes Twitter – tweeted and retweeted “politically correct” comments while passing themselves off as him.

People were saying to me, “Mike, why aren’t you giving us the news?”

He said that’s when he learned that someone had been using his account.

That’s like identity fraud. That’s criminal.

Se Hoon Kim: From a CCP Advocate to a Human Rights Activist

Se Hoon Kim, a graduate student at the University of Rochester, shared his journey from being an advocate of the CCP (China Communist Party) to a human rights activist.

“Every kid is a nut for something,” Kim told Jenny Chang, host of NTD’s “Focus Talk.” “I was always a history nut. And one of the things that interested me the most was actually Chinese history.”

Kim immigrated from South Korea to the United States at the age of nine. He was fascinated with Chinese history from a young age.

“I actually was one of many, many people that are out there, that pretty much accepted this narrative that the Chinese Communist Party is China,” Kim said. “And the Chinese Communist Party is the reason why China became as big as it is today.”

“I judged by what I saw in front of me, and I was extremely fascinated,” he said.

Kim said that China Central Television (CCTV), the only authorized national broadcaster in China, was a large part of forming his thoughts about China. He was watching it every day.

CCTV is a central player in the Chinese regime’s global propaganda network.

Kim recalled watching the Beijing Olympics as a kid, “it just looked magnificent,” he said. “In my heart, I mean, that was China, that was the wonderful form of China that if anybody were to criticize, they would be wrong, right?”

In a high school history class one student talked about Falun Gong practitioners and how they are genuinely persecuted.

Kim remembered jumping up to question the presentation: “What proof do you have that these people will not somehow rise up against China and really ruin the plans of modernity? … I said, the Chinese government rightfully suppressed these people because they were becoming a societal threat. And I even cited a lot of the government’s point of view at that time.”

“These people are known as a cult,” Kim said continuing to repeat the CCP propaganda he had learned.

U.S. airstrikes in Somalia continue at rapid pace even after force relocation

Airstrikes targeting terrorists in Somalia have continued at a rapid pace since troops were relocated from the country earlier this month.

AFRICOM has conducted three airstrikes against al-Shabab compounds and key leaders in Somalia since Jan. 15, an estimated 700 troops withdrew from the country on orders from former President Donald Trump.

The command has conducted a total of six airstrikes since the new year began, according to an AFRICOM spokesman as of Jan. 24.

“Al-Shabaab remains a threat to the U.S. and a dangerous enemy,” said Air Force Col. Chris Karns. “…While Al-Shabaab is unable to attack the U.S. homeland today, their ambition to do so in the future remains.”

At current rates, 2021 is on course to surpass the number of airstrikes conducted in Somalia in previous years.

AFRICOM conducted 52 airstrikes in 2020, 63 in 2019, 47 in 2018, and 35 in 2017, according to Karns.

An airstrike destroyed an al-Shabab compound near Tiyeeglow, Somalia on Jan. 18, and two more strikes killed three al-Shabab operatives the following day near Jamaame and Deb Scinnele, according to AFRICOM press releases.

“These strikes targeted known al-Shabaab leaders involved in IED facilitation, fighter training, and attack planning,” Air Force Maj. Gen. Dagvin Anderson, Joint Task Force-Quartz commander, said of the Jan. 19 strikes. “Striking these leaders disrupts al-Shabaab’s ability to attack our partners and indiscriminately kill innocent civilians with improvised explosive devices.”

JTF-Quartz was created in December 2020 to oversee the relocation of U.S. troops in Somalia to other bases in East Africa and promised to maintain pressure on al-Shabab while doing so.

AFRICOM successfully completed the relocation just a few days prior to the Jan. 15 deadline set by President Trump, according to Karns.

Biden administration to buy 200 million more vaccine doses, 100 million each from Moderna and Pfizer

So far there have been more than 424,000 COVID-19 deaths in the United States, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

As the nation continues to contend with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the Biden administration is seeking to purchase 200 million more COVID-19 vaccine doses.

"The Biden-Harris Administration is working to purchase an additional 100 million doses of each of the two Food and Drug Administration-authorized vaccines – Pfizer and Moderna," according to the White House. This increases the total vaccine order for the U.S. by 50%, from 400 million to 600 million with these additional doses expected to deliver this summer. With these additional doses, the U.S. will have enough vaccine to fully vaccinate 300 million Americans by the end of this summer."

The administration also plans to boost the overall quantity of vaccine doses provided each week to states, tribes and territories to at least 10 million doses per week during at least the next three weeks, which would represent an increase of 1.4 million per week.

"The Biden-Harris Administration will increase overall, weekly vaccine supply to states, Tribes and territories from 8.6 million doses to a minimum of 10 million doses," according to the White House. "This increase of 1.4 million doses per week will allow millions more Americans to get vaccinated sooner than previously anticipated. The Administration is committing to maintaining this as the minimum supply level for the next three weeks."

Cloward–Piven strategy

The Cloward–Piven strategy is a political strategy outlined in 1966 by American sociologists and political activists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven.

History

Cloward and Piven were both professors at the Columbia University School of Social Work. The strategy was outlined in a May 1966 article in the liberal magazine The Nation titled "The Weight of the Poor: A Strategy to End Poverty".[1]

The two stated that many Americans who were eligible for welfare were not receiving benefits, and that a welfare enrollment drive would strain local budgets, precipitating a crisis at the state and local levels that would be a wake-up call for the federal government, particularly the Democratic Party. There would also be side consequences of this strategy, according to Cloward and Piven. These would include: easing the plight of the poor in the short-term (through their participation in the welfare system); shoring up support for the national Democratic Party-then splintered by pluralistic interests (through its cultivation of poor and minority constituencies by implementing a national "solution" to poverty); and relieving local governments of the financially and politically onerous burdens of public welfare (through a national "solution" to poverty).[1]

Strategy

Cloward and Piven's article is focused on forcing the Democratic Party, which in 1966 controlled the presidency and both houses of the United States Congress, to take federal action to help the poor. They stated that full enrollment of those eligible for welfare "would produce bureaucratic disruption in welfare agencies and fiscal disruption in local and state governments" that would: "…deepen existing divisions among elements in the big-city Democratic coalition: the remaining white middle class, the working-class ethnic groups and the growing minority poor. To avoid a further weakening of that historic coalition, a national Democratic administration would be constrained to advance a federal solution to poverty that would override local welfare failures, local class and racial conflicts and local revenue dilemmas."[2]

They further wrote:

The ultimate objective of this strategy—to wipe out poverty by establishing a guaranteed annual income—will be questioned by some. Because the ideal of individual social and economic mobility has deep roots, even activists seem reluctant to call for national programs to eliminate poverty by the outright redistribution of income.[2]

Michael Reisch and Janice Andrews wrote that Cloward and Piven "proposed to create a crisis in the current welfare system – by exploiting the gap between welfare law and practice – that would ultimately bring about its collapse and replace it with a system of guaranteed annual income. They hoped to accomplish this end by informing the poor of their rights to welfare assistance, encouraging them to apply for benefits and, in effect, overloading an already overburdened bureaucracy."[3]

Focus on Democrats

The authors pinned their hopes on creating disruption within the Democratic Party:

"Conservative Republicans are always ready to declaim the evils of public welfare, and they would probably be the first to raise a hue and cry. But deeper and politically more telling conflicts would take place within the Democratic coalition…Whites – both working class ethnic groups and many in the middle class – would be aroused against the ghetto poor, while liberal groups, which until recently have been comforted by the notion that the poor are few… would probably support the movement. Group conflict, spelling political crisis for the local party apparatus, would thus become acute as welfare rolls mounted and the strains on local budgets became more severe.”[4]

Democrats Exploiting Limited Capitol Disturbance to Crack Down on All Opposition

You never want a serious crisis to go to waste,” then-Congressman and soon to be Obama’s Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel told assembled head honchos at a Wall Street Journal corporate CEO conference in 2008. Politicians have learned that lesson well, and the brains behind the Biden administration are proving no different in exploiting the so-called Capitol “riots.”

I used quotation marks there because the term appears situational and relative. Case in point, Maxine Waters used the terms “rebellion” and “resistance” to qualify an “uprising” that resulted in “more than 50 killed, 2,000 injured, 9,500 arrests and $1 billion in property damages.” Those numbers could have been significantly reduced had political leaders used their influence to appeal for real justice and peace instead of pouring fuel on the flames for political gain:

“Waters’ mantra was ‘No Justice, No Peace.’ Over and over to any camera or microphone in sight, ‘No Justice, No Peace.’ Her message to the streets was unmistakable: ‘If it’s not a guilty verdict, go to war. ‘No Justice, No Peace.’”

Naturally, she voted to impeach Donald Trump for supposedly conveying his expectation and blessing to the Capitol intrusion. That’s the crux of the case, that’s what the DSM (Duranty/Streicher Media) is trumpeting, and now, that’s what those trying to save their skins are latching on to.

“What’s really curious is the reality that our president, as a matter of public record, invited these individuals, as President, to walk down to the Capitol with him,” the attorney for “QAnon Shaman” Anthony Chansley maintained.

What’s even more curious is the reality that the president, as a matter of public record, did not invite protestors to do anything more than that, all perfectly legal and supposedly protected by the First Amendment.

53 Dead in Gibraltar in 10 Days After Experimental Pfizer mRNA COVID Injections Started

Gibraltar is a British Colony at the southern tip of the Iberian Peninsula attached to the country of Spain. It’s population is just over 30,000 people, and it is best known for its huge “rock,” the “Rock of Gibraltar.”

I have been contacted by residents in Gibraltar stating that 53 people have died in 10 days immediately following the roll out of injections of the Pfizer mRNA COVID injections, and calling it a “massacre.”

Local media reports confirm the deaths, but blame them on COVID, and not the COVID injections.

However, prior to the roll out of the injections, it is reported that only 16 people in total died “from COVID” since the beginning of the “pandemic” about a year ago.

Ever since the epidemic began, sorting genuine Covid deaths from others has been a major issue. Now we have the added problem of vaccines in the mix. Gibraltar, normally called simply “Gib,” provides a very clear picture. This tiny British Colony, barely three miles long, appended to the South coast of Spain, has only 32,000 residents. It had suffered relatively little from the epidemic before the 9th January this year, with only seventeen deaths for the whole period. The death rate was well down the Deaths per Million League Table. This was not due to isolation, since Spanish workers have continued to pour into Gib every morning, and back out every evening.

Since the 9th January “Covid deaths” per million have rocketed to Third Place on the Worldometer site. Thirty-six more deaths in little over a week. What changed on the Ninth? The RAF flew in nearly 6,000 Pfizer vaccines, cooled to -70C by dry ice. They were put to use quickly to avoid the risk of degradation. Tiny Gibraltar is like a petri dish; in no other place has there been such a brutally clear relationship between vaccine roll-out and increased “Covid deaths.” Local media and Government have not even referred to the obvious connection. And media elsewhere has conveniently not noticed. Yet failing to recognise that these deaths demand, at the very least, immediate investigation, requires a criminal failure of judgement.

I cannot find the original source of this quote, but local media reports seem to confirm that the deaths occurred after the experimental Pfizer mRNA injection program started.

13 people died the first weekend, most of them elderly, and 27 the first week, as per local media sources.

Gibraltar recorded another 13 Covid-related deaths over a “devastating” weekend that drove the death toll to 43 since the start of the pandemic.

During the past week alone, 27 people have passed away either as a direct result of the virus or while infected with it.

Nine Covid-related deaths were recorded on Sunday, the worst in a single day since the public health crisis almost a year ago.

The stark data was confirmed by the Gibraltar Government in its latest Covid update on Sunday, as Chief Minister Fabian Picardo confirmed he would address the community in a live press conference from No.6 Convent Place at 4pm on Monday.

Mr Picardo described the latest developments as “harrowing”, adding he himself lost a relative and friends in recent days.

All but three of those who died this weekend were in the care of the Elderly Residential Services, where there were still 130 active cases of Covid-19 on Sunday.

Those who died included six women and four men, the youngest in their early 70s, the eldest in their late 90s. All were recorded as being deaths from Covid-19.

Two men and woman who were not in the care of ERS also died this weekend from complications arising from Covid-19, including a man in his late 60s.

U.S. President Joe Biden’s administration announced Tuesday it was restoring relations with the Palestinians and renewing aid to Palestinian refugees, a reversal of the Trump administration’s cutoff and a key element of its new support for a two-state solution to the decades-old conflict between Israelis and Palestinians.

Acting U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills made the announcement of Biden’s approach to a high-level virtual Security Council meeting, saying the new U.S. administration believes this “remains the best way to ensure Israel’s future as a democratic and Jewish state while upholding the Palestinians’ legitimate aspirations for a state of their own and to live with dignity and security.”

Maryland works to open mass coronavirus vaccination sites, even as supply of shots remains frustratingly short

Maryland soon will open mass vaccination sites, including at the Baltimore Convention Center, even as the state’s severely limited supply of shots hampers immunization efforts with no end to the shortage in sight, Gov. Larry Hogan said Tuesday.

Additional chain stores will start offering injections, Hogan also announced, and the home of the Baltimore Ravens, M&T Bank Stadium, will be tapped as another mass vaccination site once the state starts receiving enough doses to put it to use.

But Hogan acknowledged the expansion of vaccination sites comes despite a shortage of doses that has left most of those eligible unable to book appointments for the shots. Existing sites, including hospitals and clinics run by local health departments, already are administering far more vaccines — about 18,000 doses a day — than the roughly 10,000 daily doses that the federal government is delivering to Maryland.

Acting state Health Secretary Dennis Schrader said Maryland doesn’t yet have enough doses to put mass vaccination sites to full use. But Schrader said opening the clinics is part of building a “robust infrastructure” to administer doses quickly once manufacturers start churning out more doses and deliveries pick up.

Hogan urged Maryland residents to be patient and expressed hope that bottlenecks in the supply chain might ease soon, although he offered no guarantees.

“I know this is really frustrating,” Hogan said. “We have 100,000 doses. We have 2 million people who want to make an appointment.”

At least six mass vaccination sites are in the works, Hogan said. Sites at the Baltimore Convention Center and at Six Flags America in Prince George’s County should begin administering shots by Feb. 5, while other sites won’t open until more doses are available, the Republican governor said.

The University of Maryland Medical System is partnering with the state to run the convention center and Ravens stadium sites. The Six Flags site will be set up as a drive-thru and run in partnership with Kaiser Permanente, according to Hogan spokesman Mike Ricci.

State officials are finalizing plans for the other sites in Southern and Western Maryland and on the Eastern Shore.

The governor also announced that the state’s network of pharmacy vaccinators will grow next week to include Safeway and Rite Aid locations, bringing the number of pharmacies providing shots statewide to 51. Shots are available already at certain Giant, Martin’s and Walmart stores.

Drugmakers are working to ramp up production and manufacturers of additional vaccines could apply for regulatory approval in the coming weeks.
