Tulsi Gabbard labels Adam Schiff, John Brennan as 'domestic enemies' of the US

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) called on President Biden to reject efforts to expand the government's national security powers

Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard issued a dire warning to the American people on Tuesday, expressing concern that "domestic enemies" of the United States, in the national security community and Big Tech industry, are plotting to create a "police state" in America.

Gabbard, who served as the U.S. representative for Hawaii's 2nd Congressional District from 2013 to 2021, posted a video to social media in which she spoke out against efforts to expand the federal government's national security powers after the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. In the video, she called out former CIA Director John Brennan and Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), two leading proponents of expanding national security powers, labeling them "domestic enemies" of the country.

"The mob who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country," Gabbard said. "But let's be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KGB-style surveillance are also domestic enemies — and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous, than the mob that stormed the Capitol."

The video cuts to a clip from MSNBC of Brennan saying that members of the Biden administration "are now moving in laser-like fashion to try to uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we see overseas." Brennan was speaking of individuals and groups like those that formed the mob that laid siege to the Capitol.

The events of Jan. 6 have been compared in the media to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, a comparison some have used to call for a "Domestic War on Terror," demanding that the U.S. employ strategies here at home akin to those used against ISIS and al-Qaeda abroad. Rep. Schiff in 2019 introduced legislation that would create a federal domestic terrorism criminal statute. A similar bill sponsored by Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) would establish new offices in the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the FBI to investigate domestic terrorism in the U.S.

Civil liberties advocates like Gabbard have spoken out against a war on terror here at home. A group of progressive representatives, led by Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), last week called on congressional leaders to reject efforts to pass Durbin's Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act and oppose new legislation that would expand the national security state.

Gabbard is calling on President Joe Biden and the Congress to defend American civil liberties.

"President Biden, I call upon you & all of Congress from both parties to denounce efforts by Brennan & others to take away our civil liberties endowed to us by our Creator & guaranteed in our Constitution. If you don't stand up to them now, then our country will be in great peril," she said.

Social Services Won't Speak to Biological Family of 3-Year-Old Found Dead In Food Network Star's Home

Ariel Robinson, winner of Food Network’s America’s Worst Cook, was arrested and charged along with her husband Jerry Robinson for the murder of 3-year-old Victoria Rose Smith. They had recently adopted her from the Greenville, S.C., Department of Social Services (DSS) in March of 2020.

DSS removed Victoria and her two brothers from her biological family due to a positive marijuana test at birth and an incident where her young brothers wandered out of the home at night and went to a neighbor’s house, according to family members. The family said DSS took the children and placed them into foster care while the biological mother went through a DSS-ordered plan to recover her family. Family members say that Victoria’s mother followed the plan, including classes and drug tests, but DSS kept changing the parameters, dragging out the process for years.

Victoria’s great aunt, Michelle Urps, was interviewed by activist Traci Fant and said her niece eventually lost her parental rights because of a lack of proper housing. “She did everything that was in the plan, she did the parenting classes….she just had housing issues. Instead of DSS offering her resources so the family could get housing and be reunified, they looked at her and said ‘figure it out.'” Urps felt that her niece was bullied by DSS into giving up her parental rights.

“The children were never abused by my niece,” Urps told PJM.

Victoria was found unresponsive in the home of Ariel and Jerry Robinson with what is described as multiple blunt-force traumas to her body. She died in the hospital. Her body has been at the Greenville coroner’s office for the last eleven days. Urps says that no one at DSS will speak to them about how to bury the child or whethr they will be allowed to have the body for a funeral. Urps told PJ Media that when she contacted DSS for information, she was told “we owe you nothing,” and was hung up on.

PJ Media reached out to Greenville DSS and spoke to public information officer Danielle Jones, who refused to give out any information. Jones would not confirm or deny hanging up on Urps. DSS would also not confirm or deny that they have had any contact with Victoria’s biological family. Urps says DSS did not notify them of Victoria’s death and the family found out about it on television news reports. Jones refused to reveal who is responsible for notifying the families when a child dies in DSS care. The director of the Greenville DSS, Dena Reeves-Green, would not take PJM’s phone call nor did she return the message at the time of publishing.

“We have contacted the state office of DSS, the one in Columbia that is over all the other DSS offices and I was told today that they could do nothing for us and that it was Greenville’s decision,” said Urps.

'Not very American': Biden reacts to GOP congressman telling him to 'kiss my a**' over mask mandate

Texas Rep. Chip Roy stands by his statement

President Joe Biden has reacted to Republican Rep. Chip Roy of Texas telling him to "kiss my a**" over the president's federal mask mandate, calling the congressman's remark "not very American."

But Roy stands by his statement, and begs to differ on whether the comment was "American."

What are the details?

Biden floated the implementation of a nationwide mask mandate months before the election, and reiterated his vow before taking office.

Last month, Biden promised on Twitter, "On day one, I'll sign an executive order to require masks everywhere I can."

Roy responded, "On day one I will tell you to kiss my a**."

During a speech Tuesday, Biden emphasized that "experts say that wearing masks from now just until April would save 50,000 lives" from COVID-19.

The president went on to remind the public that he had already implemented his mask mandate, before referencing Roy's comments without mentioning his name.

"One congressman pointed out — he used very colorful terms to say — 'wearing a mask I'd tell him to kiss my ear, I'm not gonna wear a mask,'" Biden said. "Well, guess what, not very American."

In response, Roy told RealClearNews, "It's not my most Christian statement but it's very American."

Biden signs executive order on mask mandate

Biden initially promised a mask mandate that would cover the entire U.S., but admitted that it even if it were deemed constitutional, such a sweeping measure would be difficult if not impossible to enforce. Instead, he imposed an executive order requiring masks on federally owned property and on modes of interstate travel such as airplanes and trains.

The mask mandate was the very first executive order Biden signed last week within hours of taking office. He also promptly violated it for all to see, when he appeared without a mask while cozied up to his maskless family during his evening inaugural celebration at the Lincoln Memorial.

In response to questions over Biden floating the mandate, White House press secretary Jen Psaki defended the president, saying that he was "celebrating," and argued that "we have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time."

The Virus of Mass Destruction

When fear of covid-19 was at its peak, we were told it was killing 3.4% of those who got the disease, similar to the famous “Spanish flu” of 1918, which killed 60 million people worldwide. The New York Times editorial board said this was a world war 2 level problem that deserves an equal level of national commitment, they claimed that in the worst case scenario over 1.7 million Americans would die from the virus.

On cable news stations on the right and the left there was a constant ticker on the bottom of the screen showing how many cases and deaths there were, something we’d never seen until this pandemic. There were videos of people “panic buying” necessities at the start of the lockdowns or stay at home orders, & later videos of filled hospitals or body bags being carried out of hospitals.

First it was China locking down, then Italy, then eventually the rest of the world (no longer a handful of countries). We were told we had no other choice. Many have forgotten now, but even right wingers were down with the program this spring, 42 states including the majority of the ones with Republican governors, had “stay at home” orders. These states made up 95% of the us population. Tucker Carlson was on Fox News telling his viewers to be terrified of the new coronavirus, and apparently he even personally drove to go see President Trump and tell him how serious this was. Soon after, Trump himself was talking about how deadly the virus was and how serious of a problem it was, he also supported stay at home orders. There was non stop talk about a “new normal”.

Certain terms have become ubiquitous, like “social distancing”, and “flattening the curve”. How scared is the public? A recent vox poll showed 52% of Americans support a 1 month national lockdown. Back in April, at peak level of panic, an AP poll showed 87% of Americans supported stay at home orders, including 78% of republicans! America wasn’t so polarized then, was it? And obviously it’s not just America, the rest of the world is frightened to and has been since last February. Many people across the world think covid has already killed off a decent chunk of humanity.

A survey taken in July asked 1 thousand people in several different countries what percentage of their country they thought was killed off by covid, answers ranged from 3% in the us to 9% in Germany, this is several times the actual percentage and something you’d see in a scifi movie. Even after the public was told in some reports maybe this virus really didn’t kill 3.4%, and that we were missing a lot of asymptomatic cases, we were still told to be terrified (and most media outlets kept using the higher death rates when discussing COVID-19 anyway).

It was still considered “at least 10 times deadlier than the flu” (1 % vs .1%) and anyone who compared it to the flu was ridiculed, despite the similarity in symptoms. We were told that the experts overwhelmingly supported the stay at home orders, that anyone who was against them was akin to a climate change denier who did not respect science, or, just a psychopath.

There was also the question of the origin of the virus, while technically a mystery, it was said that the virus having come from a lab was highly unlikely. The virus was first noticed in Wuhan, China, which happens to also have a high level bio research lab, this obviously had many thinking of the possibility the virus snuck out. The most commonly accepted theory is this virus somehow jumped from a bat or some other closely related animal, but we don’t know for sure. This mysterious element of the story almost certainly added to peoples fear and paranoia. The thing is, this was all a farce, we were and are not dealing with anything comparable to the 1918 flu. We were dealing with something more like a normal bad flu season in some parts of the first world, and a very light one in most of the world.
