CCP let off the hook ?

https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/biden-appointee-state-department-didnt-follow-procedure-for-uyghur-genocide-determination/

Thomas-Greenfield, the experienced diplomat whom Joe Biden has nominated to represent the United States at the U.N., made the comments during questioning about her record on China. Senator Marco Rubio asked her if she considered the CCP’s repression of the Uyghur people a genocide:

Thomas-Greenfield: What they’re doing there has been referred to as genocide, and I know that the State Department is reviewing that as we speak. What they’re doing is horrific, and I look forward to seeing the results of the review that’s being done.

Rubio: The State Department issued a designation, I believe, on the president’s last day. So is your understanding that it’s now being reviewed by the State Department to see if that’s appropriate?

Thomas-Greenfield: I think the State Department is reviewing that now because all of the procedures were not followed and I think that they’re looking at that to make sure that they are followed to ensure that that designation is held.

Thomas-Greenfield’s comments are particularly vexing in light of Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s comment last week that he agreed with Pompeo’s determination.

Members of the Pompeo team objected to Thomas-Greenfield’s allegation that the genocide determination was concluded according to a flawed process. “The process was followed and any claim otherwise is either uninformed or misleading,” Kelley Currie, a former senior State Department official with direct knowledge of the process, told National Review.

FUBAR

Connection issues and other annoyances interrupted the Biden administration's first Zoom-based COVID-19 task force briefing on Wednesday.

Viewers of the roughly hourlong briefing sat through numerous technical difficulties over the course of the broadcast, as White House COVID-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients was forced on multiple occasions to assist participants with their devices and in some cases repeat questions from reporters to participants who could not hear them.

At one point, White House chief medical adviser Anthony Fauci joked that viewers had missed "a lot of really good stuff" as a result of audio issues that left his microphone silent for several moments as he began his segment of the briefing.

At other times, participants could be heard talking over each other or complaining about audio problems, apparently unaware that their own mics were live.

https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/social-media-influencer-charged-election-interference-stemming-voter-disinformation-campaign

The complaint alleges that in 2016, Mackey established an audience on Twitter with approximately 58,000 followers. A February 2016 analysis by the MIT Media Lab ranked Mackey as the 107th most important influencer of the then-upcoming Election, ranking his account above outlets and individuals such as NBC News (#114), Stephen Colbert (#119) and Newt Gingrich (#141).

As alleged in the complaint, between September 2016 and November 2016, in the lead up to the Nov. 8, 2016, U.S. Presidential Election, Mackey conspired with others to use social media platforms, including Twitter, to disseminate fraudulent messages designed to encourage supporters of one of the presidential candidates (the “Candidate”) to “vote” via text message or social media, a legally invalid method of voting.

For example, on Nov. 1, 2016, Mackey allegedly tweeted an image that featured an African American woman standing in front of an “African Americans for [the Candidate]” sign. The image included the following text: “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home. Text ‘[Candidate’s first name]’ to 59925[.] Vote for [the Candidate] and be a part of history.” The fine print at the bottom of the image stated: “Must be 18 or older to vote. One vote per person. Must be a legal citizen of the United States. Voting by text not available in Guam, Puerto Rico, Alaska or Hawaii. Paid for by [Candidate] for President 2016.”

The tweet included the typed hashtags “#Go [Candidate]” and another slogan frequently used by the Candidate. On or about and before Election Day 2016, at least 4,900 unique telephone numbers texted “[Candidate’s first name]” or some derivative to the 59925 text number, which was used in multiple deceptive campaign images tweeted by the defendant and his co-conspirators.

https://thenationalpulse.com/breaking/dc-mayor-bowser-demands-businesses-pull-down-boards-erected-to-defend-against-blm-rioters/

n a brazen display of how the left encouraged violent riots, cost businesses billions, and supported murders across the country, Bowser is now demanding businesses expose their shop fronts.

Those who don’t, she says, need to be “reminded” by the public. She ended her tweet this afternoon with the hashtag #DCisOpen.

But DC wasn’t open during the last year of the Trump administration when Democrats incited violence across the nation, leading the deaths of police officers, members of the public, and even children.

Bowser’s political ploy paid off, and Democrats in Congress are now attempting to make her the Governor of a new state in the union: Washington, DC.

Plans for DC statehood — which would hand two more Senate seats to the Democrats in perpetuity — have been put on afterburners by the left.

Bowser’s administration partnered with the Chinese Communist Party-funded Confucius Institutes, allowing party propaganda to infiltrate district’s public schools and federal buildings.

An annual report from the Chinese, communist-run Confucius Institute U.S. Center (CIUSC) identified both Bowser’s office and D.C. public schools as partners of the organization.
