Marc Ray Swain, 47, a Weber-Metro crime scene investigator, was booked into the Davis County Jail on Wednesday for investigation of three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of voyeurism committed against a child under the age of 14, and two counts of obstructing justice.
The incidents date back to at least June, according to police. The investigation began Monday night when a girl found a recording device in her bathroom. The girl told her mother “that the item in the bathroom was a recording device, as (she) had seen the lens on the device. (She) said that she had seen the item in the bathroom before on two separate occasions, partially hidden in various positions in the bathroom,” according to a police booking affidavit.
When confronted, Swain claimed it was a flash drive that he had accidentally dropped, the affidavit states. But the woman believed that based on the position of the device, “it could not have been an accident.”
