Correct. They over extended the shorts anywhere from 150% to 250%.

 

As long as the stock price is higher than what they shorted it, they lose a ton of cash. The guess was the sell off yesterday was them trying to get some liquid for tomorrow.

 

Tomorrow actually just kicks things off. Next week will be more interesting as the squeeze continues.

That is the messed up part.

 

Just think, in America today you aren't allowed to buy something for a price you are willing to pay for the item.
