Tennessee bill would decriminalize possession, casual exchange of <1 ounce marijuana
NASHVILLE, Tenn.–A Tennessee state representative is seeking to decriminalize possession and the casual exchange of small amounts of marijuana.
State Representative London Lamar (D-Memphis) is sponsoring HB413 which was submitted for consideration on Tuesday.
Under the bill, it would be legal for a person to have less than one ounce (28.35 grams) of marijuana in their possession. The bill would also allow for the casual exchange of a small amount of marijuana as long as there is no transaction taking place. Problably will not pass.
