Don't even need to do that. It's occurring because only shares that are long in a MARGIN account may be hypothecated for use by short sellers making them vulnerable to indiscriminate liquidation (always at the worst price).

If you are Long and are now required to post 100% margin anyway, just simply open a CASH account and journal the fully paid shares into it. They cannot liquidate those shares. Read the rules.

CASH accounts (like IRA's for example) are NOT eligible for their RE-rehypothecation game, which is the ONLY way 160% of outstanding shares could have occurred. Remember:
