If you believe Santa Claus is real and you send him letters and ask for presents, you won't get anything because Santa isn't real. No matter how much you believe, it doesn't make him real.
People who 'worship' Satan, or even people who 'pray' to their deity of choice for things, will never get anything from it. It's a waste of time. evil doesn't exist in some supernatural form. Praying won't stop it, but it will make you feel better about not being able to do anything about it.
