Was out on the patio to have a smoke. Live in Kansas City area. Looked up and saw this. Moon is almost full. The moon is not sparkling like the pic. Couldn't make it clean on phone camera ? just a normal moon and the circle is at least 25-30x's the size of the moon. It is hazy here but it looks like the Moon burned off the haze in that wild circle. Blue sky in the circle and haze every where else. It is very cool, not sure i have ever seen this before ? Anyone ?

So does it explain how there is blue sky inside the circle and haze everywhere else ? When i have time i will dig mine out and read about it
I understand that part. Just bizarre how it appears to have burnt the haze off. the inner circle is blue sky ?
