Looks like a gap between the heel and rug on his left foot. Can't see much of the heel on his right foot, but there is an obvious crease right under the laces telling me that foot is heels up as well.

Back in the 90's I was a plumber for my family plumbing contracting business.
We helped build a mans house, super fancy and high tech for the time. It wasfully automated and had bulletproof windows and was in a gated community hidden just south of VAFB.
Anyways, later I found out he had a facebook account that I briefly contacted him through in the messenger app just to chit chat and catch up.
The man had put in the "nickname" section of his Facebook page the word
SKYNET=
Yes the guy actually called himself Skynet.
When we worked for him Facebook wasn't even a thing.

Only reassuring part of that situation is that all the civilian contractors who were building the house were from the same church, the rest were military electricians because there was some sort of machine inside the house that was important to the infrastructure or the defence systems.
