Interesting. So perhaps Ecuador themselves decided to cut Assange off for a bit so he would not do/say anything to bugger up their deal they were negotiating with the US?

I had also wondered if the US did not ask Ecuador to do this so that Assange could not, even inadvertently, do/say something that messed with the timeline of events that Q-team and POTUS are controlling. He otherwise might be something of a wild card. Just speculating here.

I hope in the end he is freed and can live his life again. He has certainly made a huge sacrifice for what he believes in.

We already have a guest worker program, which is used extensively in the agricultural area I am from in the PNW. They come in by bus, live in housing provided by employer, are overseen and managed while they are here by the employer and returned by bus at the end of the season.

Unlike in my youth, it seems that not that many citizens of the US want to do manual labor anymore. Those that grew up in farming communities and are still connected will get why this guest worker program is important to farmers.
