“As far as allowing my own young children and or their friends to visit [Maxwell], both before and at any time in the future, the answer is an unequivocal YES,” wrote one unidentified individual, who has agreed to co-sign a $1.5 million bond on Maxwell’s behalf, in a letter filed in Manhattan federal court late Monday.
The person’s teenage son had even visited Maxwell in New York, states the letter to US District Judge Alison Nathan.
A total of 16 letters were sent to the judge, the names of each author redacted, extolling Maxwell’s character, intelligence — and in many cases her “appropriate” childcare skills.
“She has been a constant visitor to my family homes, has had my children stay with her in her homes,” wrote another person, who did not seem bothered that Maxwell has been accused of procuring underage girls to be abused by the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
“And I would not hesitate to leave any of my kids or grandkids in her care. I have never witnessed, nor heard from my children or grandchildren any reports of any inappropriate behavior,” according to the letter, whose author offered to sign a $3.5 million bond on Maxwell’s behalf.
