Biden, Democrats get torched by their own for breaking $2,000 stimulus promise: 'Never voting D again'

'People don't like it when you treat them like they're stupid'

President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party were blasted by their own supporters over the weekend after the Democratic Party made it clear that Biden would be pursuing $1,400 stimulus checks in another coronavirus relief bill — not $2,000 checks like Biden and other Democrats promised.

While campaigning during the Georgia runoff elections, Democrats Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, who both won their elections, made COVID relief a central campaign issue.

Biden did, too. While speaking in Atlanta the day before the election, Biden promised that if Democrats took effective control of the Senate by winning both runoff elections, $2,000 stimulus payments would be distributed to Americans immediately.

However, Biden broke that promise before ever taking office.

As TheBlaze reported, the details of Biden's coronavirus relief package were made public about one week before his inauguration. Included in his plan are $1,400 stimulus checks — not the $2,000 checks that he promised. The lower amount is being attributed to the relief package passed in late December, which included $600 stimulus checks. Biden is calling the first check a "down payment" and is adding it to his proposal to achieve the $2,000 promise.

The Democratic Party solidified the lower amount on Saturday when it tweeted Biden's $1,400 amount.

"@POTUS will build on the $600 down payment provided by Congress last year, sending an additional $1,400 to households across America, totaling direct payments to $2,000 per person," the Democratic Party said.

The message was met with anger by Democrats and Democratic supporters, many of whom pointed out the clear contradiction between the current proposed amount and what was promised by Biden, Ossoff, and Warnock.

One person replied with a picture of a Warnock campaign ad that promised $2,000 checks, saying, "Where does this say $600 down payment + $1400 check?"

Another person pointed to Biden's own words, which promised $2,000 checks.

— Bes D. Socialist (@besf0rt) January 30, 2021

"i canvassed my ass off for y'all in georgia and you turn around and treat us like we're stupid," another person said.

"The Democratic party deserves to go extinct," one person said.

"Y'all promised $2000 checks if you won the Senate, what's this 'down payment' bulls***? I'm not selling you a car, I'm trying to keep a roof over my head and food on my table," another person responded.

"I can't believe you're going to give up a generation of voters over $600 which was already a fraction of what other countries provided for their people," another person replied.

"Build on a $600 down payment provided last year….lmao. Never voting D again," one person vowed.

"People don't like it when you treat them like they're stupid," another person said.

"Gaslighting the very people who trusted & voted for you," another person responded.

With a bipartisan spirit, 10 Senate Republicans wrote Biden over the weekend with a COVID relief counterproposal. Their legislation would reportedly cost just $600 billion to Biden's $1.9 trillion.

== Biden's labor agency appointee previously led Washington department that lost $600 million in unemployment checks to Nigerian fraud scheme

News==

Failing upward

The Biden administration will tap Suzi LeVine to join the Labor Department as interim political head of the Employment and Training Administration, Bloomberg reported. Starting on Monday, LeVine will "lead the federal sub-agency office that helps states manage unemployment benefits," according to the Seattle Times. Previously, LeVine was the commissioner of the Washington state Employment Security Department, which under her watch fell victim to a Nigerian fraud scam that lost hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars.

LeVine admitted last May that "hundreds of millions of dollars" had been defrauded by international scammers.

"Impostors have used the stolen information of tens of thousands of people in the state to fraudulently receive hundreds of millions of dollars in unemployment benefits," according to Oregon Public Broadcasting.

The Nigerian fraud ring called "Scattered Canary" utilized stolen information of Washington residents from previous data breaches, such as the 2017 Equifax breach, to file for unemployment. The ESD allegedly attempted to rush out unemployment checks and didn't do enough to verify the identities of the recipients.

The results of an audit of LeVine's Employment Security Department were released in December, which found that the ESD's "known and suspected" fraud loss was about $600 million from over 122,000 fraudulent claims as of June 30, 2020. The government was able to recover $250 million of the missing funds, but Nigerian fraudsters were able to pocket $350.9 million.

"As part of its annual audit of the state's financial statements, the Office of the Washington State Auditor found that the Employment Security Department (ESD) did not have adequate internal controls to prevent the fraud," the audit stated. "The Department also reported inaccurate fraud and recovery numbers for the state's financial statements."

"The elimination in March of the 'waiting week,' time ESD typically would use to verify eligibility for benefits," the report read.

The removal of the "waiting week" was reportedly at the request of Gov. Jay Inslee (D), which made it difficult for the ESD to verify unemployment claims with employers before the checks were mailed out.

"This fraud is a source of major concern for the public, legislators, and the media – all of whom are considered users of these financial statements," auditor Pat McCarthy said. "Additionally, these funds were given to the state to use for the benefit of Washingtonians. The financial statements should be transparent about what happened."

LeVine was appointed to her ESD position by Inslee.

The Seattle Times revealed LeVine's close ties to the Democratic Party:

Critics have also noted that LeVine, who worked at Microsoft and Expedia and served as U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein for three years in the Obama administration, is a longtime player in Democratic politics.

The LeVines gave more than $400,000 to the Biden campaign and other Democratic causes in 2019 and 2020, according to federal campaign records.

In 2017, the LeVines were appointed as deputy national finance chairs for the Democratic National Committee, according to its website.

Fox News noted that LeVine's new position "would put her at the front of President Biden's economic recovery plan," adding, "With an annual budget of roughly $9 billion — about three-quarters of overall Labor Department dollars, the ETA will have a key role in patching up the scarce labor market."

New York Times Owners Descended from Slave-Holding Family, Published Pro-Lynching Articles Claiming ‘Republican Party Committed Great Public Crime’ When Giving Blacks The Right to Vote

The family who owns the New York Times were pro-Confederacy slave owners, and The National Pulse can today reveal the Times‘ fawning coverage of an anti-black vote conference with pro-lynching advocates in attendance. The paper’s headlines from the time declared: “NEGRO SUFFRAGE A FAILURE.”

Writing in the New York Post this weekend, columnist Michael Goodwin explained The New York Times, under the leadership of Arthur Ochs, published an editorial in 1900 saying the Democratic Party “may justly insist that the evils of negro suffrage were wantonly inflicted on them.”

The Ochs-Sulzberger family still owns the paper, with Arthur Ochs Sulzberger Jr serving as its Chairman, and his son, A.G. Sulzberger serving as Publisher.

NEW REVELATIONS.

Further investigation by The National Pulse reveals a far more horrific history of anti-black sentiment from the pages of the New York Times – the rag which maintains the original Ochs’s established strap line: “All the News That’s Fit to Print.”

That same line appeared above an editorial from Thursday, May 10th 1900.

“The Political Future of the South,” lamented the “negro vote,” referring to the “horrors of negro rule,” and blasted Republicans for promoting and passing legislation that went onto become the Fifteenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which states that “race, color, or previous condition of servitude” cannot be used to stop someone voting.

“The Republican Party committed a great public crime when it gave the right of suffrage to the blacks,” the Times roared on page six, calling “barriers against negro suffrage” a consequence of “wiser counsel.”

One day prior, on May 9th 1900, the paper gave fawning coverage to the former Secretary of the Navy Hillary A. Herbert, who had convened a conference titled “The Race Problem.”

Herbert, a Democrat who served under President Grover Cleveland, said at the time that the black vote had “brought weakness instead of strength,” and the New York Times cribbed his speech for the headline which blasted: “NEGRO SUFFRAGE A FAILURE.”

The summary article went on to reflect on the “advisability of lynching,” as set forth by a number of speakers at the event.

Those who might suggest the Times was simply reflecting common parlance or attitudes at the time would be mistaken. Their own Letters page gave way, one day later, to Pastor Pierce Butler Thompkins founder of the Saint James Presbyterian Church in New York, who rebuked the Times for its coverage of the event.

“[Y]ou seem to be willing to sacrifice principle for expediency,” wrote Butler Thompkins, reflecting on the nature of the paper’s coverage which sought to tacitly approve of measures by which to suppress the black vote with the hope it would help the Democratic Party.

CELEBRATION OF CONFEDERATES.

In addition to this slew of anti-“negro” coverage, the Times published a profile of Confederate President Jefferson Davis on the 100th anniversary of his birth, defining him as the “the great Southern leader.”

New York Times Uncritically Published From Hitler’s Mein Kampf on Eve of Largest Nazi Military Push

The New York Times published highlights from Adolf Hitler’s Nazi playbook Mein Kampf, detailing how to disseminate propaganda.

“The Art of Propaganda,” a full-page article written by Hitler, appeared in the New York Times Magazine on June 22, 1941, as Nazi Germany began its largest military operation: the invasion of the Soviet Union, also known as Operation Barbarossa.

The news following a major National Pulse exposé of the paper’s record on black voting and slavery, wherein the Times declared “NEGRO SUFFRAGE A FAILURE”.

The recently unearthed Hitler piece, complete with a portrait of the German leader responsible for the death of millions in the center of the page, was comprised of highlights from the Nazi chief’s seminal work Mein Kampf.

Notoriously rife with anti-semitism and providing an outline of the deadly National Socialist ideology, Mein Kampf saw its “most important passages on propaganda” (according to the Times’s introductory paragraph) be curated by paper in an article that served as a guidebook.

The article did not include criticisms, nor refutations from the Times or its staff.

“It must appeal forever and only to the masses,” the article posited about propaganda messaging, going on to list other axioms for the deceptive media strategy including “effective propaganda should be limited to a very few points” and hailing “persistency” as the “most important condition for success.”

“The task of propaganda lies not in a scientific training of the individual, but rather in directing the masses toward certain facts, events, necessities, etc., the purpose being to move their importance into the masses’ field of vision,” the article continues.

Now under fire from Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for publishing an op-ed tantamount to “Chinese propaganda” concerning the U.S.’s response to coronavirus, the New York Times appears to be occupying a similar collaborator role with its coverage of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In early February, an article entitled “China and America Can Compete and Coexist” written by a senior colonel in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) also graced the pages of the coveted opinion section.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken Orders LGBT Flags Flown at U.S. Embassies, Will Name Special Envoy for Gay Rights

LGBT activists are cheering Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s announcement that he will reverse an order from President Donald Trump and put up “pride” flags at U.S. Embassies around the world.

Outfront magazine reported on the development:

The Biden administration is off to a hopeful start, as Secretary of State nominee, Antony Blinken, has confirmed a recommitment to LGBTQ rights.

In a memo from July 2020, former Secretary of Defense Mark Esper released a list of flags permitted to be displayed at U.S. military bases. Missing from the list was the LGBTQ pride flag, which Esper compared to the confederate flag. Prior to the ban, embassies raised the flag during pride month on the official embassy flagpole.

During the hearing, Blinken also confirmed that he plans to appoint an envoy for the Human Rights of LGBTQ persons, a position created by Barack Obama in 2015 that wasn’t filled during the Trump presidency.

Blinken claimed violence against that demographic increased while Trump was in office.

“We’ve seen violence directed against LGBTQI people around the world increase,” Blinken said. “And so, I think the United States playing the role that it should be playing in standing up for and defending the rights of LGBTQI people is something that the department is going to take on and take on immediately. Raising the pride flag is one way to outright show LGBTQ solidarity.”

“Biden is the first U.S. president to openly embrace a full range of queer rights, including transgender equality,” Outfront magazine reported.

Wikipedia Does Damage Control: Locks Page of Never-Trumper Caught Grooming Underage Boys

The Never Trumpers at the Lincoln Project are scrambling to put out fires after one of their married founders was caught sending sexually explicit messages to young men.

Earlier today news broke that 21 men had accused Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver of online harassment, according to a report by The New York Times.

The youngest victim the New York Times spoke to was just 14 years old when John Weaver started messaging and grooming him.

The New York Times says the evidence of Weaver’s online harassment is well documented and backed up by screenshots and ran between 2015-2020.

It was an open secret but the Lincoln Project is acting like they had no idea Weaver was grooming young men, including underage teen boys.

“One of the most extraordinary things was how much of an open secret this was among the men Weaver commonly targeted — young, gay men interested in politics. Three men told me they’d described the harassment to a friend and the friend guessed it was Weaver,” NYT reporter Maggie Astor said.

The story is going completely viral today.

It didn’t take long for far-left Wikipedia to do damage control.

Wikipedia locked John Weaver’s page today after the report on him grooming young men broke.

Trump Says Lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor will Lead Impeachment Defense Team

A spokesperson for Donald Trump on Sunday announced lawyers David Schoen and Bruce Castor will lead his impeachment defense team.

Trump praised Schoen and Castor for having “significant trial experience in high profile cases.”

Saturday night it was reported that five of Trump’s lawyers have left the impeachment defense team with just over a week to go before the senate trial.

According to CNN, two lead lawyers and three other attorneys left Trump’s defense team over a disagreement on legal strategy.

David Schoen represented Roger Stone and Bruce Castor served as the DA for Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.

“I consider it a privilege to represent the 45th President,” Castor wrote. “The strength of our Constitution is about to be tested like never before in our history. It is strong and resilient. A document written for the ages, and it will triumph over partisanship yet again, and always.”

Charles Hurt: As Biden Proclaims ‘Strategic Patience,’ China Is on the March

President Biden has been part of the problem in Washington for a half-century. Yet, apparently, he just discovered China.

“We want to approach this with some strategic patience,” White House flak Jen Psaki cautiously explained this week when asked about the president’s approach to the world’s most populous country whose communist government is hellbent on destroying America.

“Strategic patience” is diplo-speak for “do nothing,” “ignore problem” and “pretend does not exist and hope goes away.”

“Strategic patience” is usually followed by “need to learn to speak Chinese!”

In the White House press briefing room, Ms. Psaki went on to say that Mr. Biden needs to “conduct reviews internally, through our interagency …” she trailed off. Then she apologized for not drinking enough coffee that might have helped her more enthusiastically convey Mr. Biden’s sleepy strategy of “strategic patience.”

“I stumbled over that,” she admitted. “I needed a little more coffee before I came out here, I guess.”

Oh.

My.

Goodness.

This is going to be a long four years.

You thought keeping up with the frenzied pace of President Trump was tough. Just imagine how hard it is going to be to shift the engines down slow enough to stick with Mr. Biden.

Pilots call it “engine stall.” How do you say that in Chinese? Also, can someone please translate “Sleepy Joe” into Mandarin?

But Ms. Psaki plugged on. (That is not, by the way, a pun on Mr. Biden’s hairstyle.)

“We want to engage more with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to discuss the path forward,” she said. “And, most importantly, we want to discuss this with our allies.”

What? This just keeps getting more and more bewildering.

So, Mr. Biden’s strategy is to do nothing, ignore the problem, drink more coffee, talk to Congress and “most importantly” let other countries set our foreign policy for us.

Oh, my. This is even dumber than we thought.

And here is the problem. While Mr. Biden and Ms. Psaki and America enter this new period of “strategic” hibernation, China is on the march.

This is nothing new. They have been on the march pretty much the entire time Mr. Biden has been part of the problem in Washington.

Even more amazing is that Mr. Biden wasn’t just part of the problem when it came to foreign policy. He was THE WHOLE problem.

Much of Mr. Biden’s career, he was heralded as the greatest foreign policy expert Washington could come up with. Every war, every global failure and every foreign policy disaster of the past 50 years has Mr. Biden’s fingerprints somewhere on it.

But I don’t mean to be overly kind to Mr. Biden. The truth is probably so much worse.

The truth is Mr. Biden did not just discover China. His son, Hunter, already told him all about it and how they are flush with so much cash and just dying to give it away to Americans.

At least they are dying to give it away to the right Americans with the right connections who say the right things — things like “strategic patience.”

However much the Chinese communists have already lavished on the Biden family, they already got 100% return on investment — a thousandfold.

Already, President Biden, with the flick of a pen, has curtailed America’s energy independence and rejoined the Paris climate accord, which put the U.S. at a massive disadvantage in terms of energy and the economy — especially compared to China.

This week, China’s Communist president, Xi Jinping, warned Mr. Biden against “arrogant isolation.”

“Let us all join hands and let multilateralism light our way toward a community with a shared future for mankind,” he scolded.

Within hours, Ms. Psaki was at the White House podium, parroting the communist dictator’s calls for strategic patience, “interagency” mumbo-jumbo, and internationalism.

Pass the coffee, please.

Karl Rove Brought Up John Weaver Allegations in 2004; Dismissed as ‘Smear,’ ‘Lie’

Republican political consultant Karl Rove brought up allegations against the Lincoln Project’s John Weaver in 2004 only to have them dismissed.

Karl Rove had the John Weaver story back in 2004! (Atlantic dismissed it as a "lie")https://t.co/lP1HOMDHV8 pic.twitter.com/X62e2fZ0h6

— Jon Levine (@LevineJonathan) January 31, 2021

The Atlantic alluded to the “rumor”:

…after Weaver went into business for himself and lured away one of Rove’s top employees, Rove spread a rumor that Weaver had made a pass at a young man at a state Republican function. Weaver won’t reply to the smear, but those close to him told me of their outrage at the nearly two-decades-old lie.

The magazine did not name those “close” to Weaver who undermined the allegations.

But now, 21 men are alleging Weaver has sent them inappropriate messages, including one who claimed they began when he was 14 years old.

The Lincoln Project, which aired ads against President Donald Trump during his re-election and other Republican candidates, sought to distance itself from the group’s co-founder:

John Weaver led a secret life that was built on a foundation of deception at every level. He is a predator, a liar, and an abuser. We extend our deepest sympathies to those who were targeted by his deplorable and predatory behavior. We are disgusted and outraged that someone in a position of power and trust would use it for these means.

The totality of his deceptions are beyond anything any of us could have imagined and we are absolutely shocked and sickened by it. Like so many, we have been betrayed and deceived by John Weaver. We are grateful beyond words that at no time was John Weaver in the physical presence of any member of The Lincoln Project.

Allegations first surfaced in mid-January that Weaver had allegedly attempted to use his position to obtain sexual favors from young men.

At that point, he claimed he was homosexual.

“The truth is that I’m gay. And that I have a wife and two kids who I love,” Weaver responded to Axios.

“My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.”

“To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry,” Weaver said.

Conservative Leader Claims Daily Beast Editor-at-Large Molly Jong-Fast Knew of John Weaver’s Sexually Explicit Messages

Daily Beast editor-at-large Molly Jong-Fast allegedly knew about the sexually explicit messages that John Weaver — a co-founder of the anti-Trump super PAC Lincoln Project — had been sending to nearly a dozen young men, in which he offered them career advice and jobs in exchange for sexual favors.

“According to several mutual friends, [Molly Jong-Fast] heard I had this story back in the early summer. And that it was circulating several outlets,” tweeted political consultant Ryan Girdusky — the conservative activist who first broke the story — of the scandal involving Weaver.

“Molly Jong-Fast kept her mouth shut after she learned that one of her Lincoln Project sexual predator pals was targeting young boys,” commented GOP strategist Arthur Schwartz on the matter.

“No one wants to hear from her (besides law enforcement),” he added.

Weaver had reportedly told one young man that he would “spoil you when we see each other” and “help you other times. Give advice, counsel, help with bills. You help me … sensually.”

On Sunday, Lincoln Project released a statement on the subject, stating that Weaver “led a secret life that was built on a foundation of deception at every level,” and calling him “a predator, a liar, and an abuser.”

According to Girdusky, however, the anti-Trump group’s statement is “an absolute lie,” as he says they did know about the allegations.

As for Jong-Fast, the Daily Beast editor-at-large has not released a statement clarifying whether she had previous knowledge or what her opinion is on the matter.

“Well she responded to this tweet,” wrote Girdusky in a follow-up tweet, which included a purported screenshot showing that Jong-Fast had blocked his Twitter account.

Myanmar Leader, President Reportedly Arrested Amid Assumed 'Military Coup'

Earlier, it was reported that tensions had escalated in Myanmar between the government and the military, sparking fears of a possible coup, as the army reportedly believes that the nation's recent election was fraudulent.

On Sunday, after initial reports on social media, Reuters reported, citing Myo Nyunt, a spokesman for Myanmar's ruling National League for Democracy, that the country's leader, Aung San Suu Kyi, president Win Myint, and senior party figures had been detained on Monday in the early morning, local time.

"I want to tell our people not to respond rashly and I want them to act according to the law," Nyunt told Reuters.

He said that he also expected to be detained. Citing the unfolding situation, the spokesman told AFP that "we have to assume that the military is staging a coup".

According to the BBC, there are soldiers on the streets of Myanmar's capital city, Naypyitaw, and the main city, Yangon. Reuters also reported, citing witnesses, that military officers were deployed outside the Yangon city hall.

BBC also reported that telephone and internet connection are cut in Naypyitaw.

Myanmar's regional chief ministers were also taken away after soldiers visited their homes, BBC said, citing family members of the ministers.

Fears of Coup

On 8 November, 2020, there was an election in Myanmar that marked the country's second general election since the 2011 end of military rule. The country's ruling party, National League for Democracy (NLD), led by Aung San Suu Kyi, won in a landslide.

Myanmar's military, known as Tatmadaw, however, claimed there was widespread voter fraud, urging the government to postpone convening the parliament - something that was scheduled to happen on Monday.

Amid fears of a possible coup that could follow, the country's army, according to The Associated Press, denied that its chief had staged a coup, stating that “some organizations and media” had raised speculation about the coup without foundation.

The statement said that the words of the army's commander-in-chief, Min Aung Hlaing, were taken out of context, after he said on Wednesday that the constitution could be revoked if the laws were not being properly enforced.
