Silver has been widely projected to exceed $30 this year, the last big high was in 2011, around $48. Closed ~ $25 Friday. So buying it at $30 is a different proposition than buying it at $40. Most likely Silver will be a good buy now, sell at your target price, even if it's soon. Buy low, sell high period

Trading an etf like SLV is a pure stock trade, youre not going to making knives and forks out of it. Buy it low, sell high. The rest has nothing to do with making money, which is why people trade stocks. Price is what matters in trading.

If youre buying SLV for the first time, hang a target sell price on your investment when you buy it. You can also sell in increments when you are comfy with the gain and keep selling a bit at a time as it increases. When you get the amount of your original investment back, you are playing with house money. After you get back 20% on your investment, you are playing with cant-lose funny money.

~ That's one way to buy and sell.
