Step one: file unemployment
Step two: consider it being the first of the month a blessing and go get EBT. Automatic health care for all your kiddos. You may even qualify if unemployment doesn't pay well enough.
This is, of course, predicated on the belief that you didn't do anything to get fired for. If you did, you likely will not get any unemployment, although you may, depends on the state, but wait a month and you will be eligible for EBT and possibly TANF.
