House Bill Would Require Psych Test, Liability Insurance For Gun Ownership, Implement Mass Retroactive Registry

Democrats continue to chisel away at the Second Amendment by tacking on conditions for gun ownership

A new piece of legislation being advanced by US Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) would create prerequisites to gun ownership that include a psychological evaluation and liability insurance, in addition to a full regimen of registration information.

Jackson-Lee has introduced HR 127, otherwise known as the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act. The legislation is named for Sabika Sheikh, a 17-year old Pakistani foreign exchange student who was among 10 students and staff killed in a high school shooting at in Texas in 2018.

The legislation would require any gun owner to provide the “make, model, and serial number of the firearm, the identity of the owner of the firearm, the date the firearm was acquired by the owner, and where the firearm is or will be stored” to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

It would also require the gun owner to provide timely “notice specifying the identity of any person to whom, and any period of time during which, the firearm will be loaned to the person.”

The proposed legislation, if passed and codified into law, would require the information be transmitted to the ATFE within three months of the law’s effective date for firearms already owned, and on the “takes possession date” for any acquisitions after the law’s effective date.

The legislation has other disturbing stipulations that, no doubt, will be opposed by Second Amendment supporters in Congress, as well as organizations that support and protect the rights of gun owners from coast to coast.

The legislation requires the establishment of a more comprehensive database.

“The Attorney General shall make the contents of the database accessible to all members of the public [emphasis added], all Federal, State and local law enforcement authorities, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, and all State and local governments, as defined by the Bureau.” [emphasis added]

The violation of privacy in the open source information to the public and the US military raises questions of purpose and constitutionality.

Also included in the proposed legislation – specifically Section (c)(1)(A)(ii)(I) – are the requirements for a psychological evaluation and liability insurance:

“[U]ndergoes a psychological evaluation conducted in accordance with paragraph (2), and the evaluation does not indicate that the individual is psychologically unsuited to possess a firearm…” [emphasis added]

“[D]emonstrates that, on issuance of the license, the individual will have in effect an insurance policy issued under subsection (d)…” [emphasis added]

And should a potential gun-owner seek to acquire a “military-style weapon” – a definition that Progressives keep in a constant state of flux – there are additional requirements associated with the psychological evaluations.

The additional requirements, include:

“[A]s deemed necessary by the licensed psychologist involved, the evaluation included a psychological evaluation of other members of the household in which the individual resides; and…” [emphasis added]

“[A]s part of the psychological evaluation, the licensed psychologist interviewed any spouse of the individual, any former spouse of the individual, and at least 2 other persons who are a member of the family of, or an associate of, the individual to further determine the state of the mental, emotional, and relational stability of the individual in relation to firearms.” [emphasis added]

Marilyn Manson dropped by label, TV show after Evan Rachel Wood abuse allegations

Marilyn Manson has been dropped by his record label, Loma Vista, following abuse allegations by Evan Rachel Wood.

“In light of today’s disturbing allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will cease to further promote his current album, effective immediately,” Loma Vista said in a statement to Variety on Monday. “Due to these concerning developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on any future projects.”

Manson’s talent agents from CAA did not respond to The Post’s repeated requests for comment.

In addition, The Wrap reported Monday that an episode of the Shudder series “Creepshow” that contains Manson will no longer air.

Manson also has a role as a rocker in the Starz series “American Gods” in the show’s current third season. Representatives for the network did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Post.

Meanwhile, California State Sen. Susan Rubio reportedly had previously sent a letter to Acting Attorney General Monty Wilkinson and FBI Director Christopher Wray encouraging an investigation into allegations against Manson. A spokesperson for the senator supplied a copy of the letter, dated Jan. 21, to Vanity Fair, which published it Monday.

“Since some of the alleged cases against Mr. Warner are from California, I am especially alarmed. Individuals who engage in this kind of abuse are often serial offenders,” the letter read in part. “If these allegations are true, and no investigation is undertaken, we will be failing the victims and allowing a possible perpetrator to continue abusing unsuspecting victims. That must not be allowed to happen.”

Earlier on Monday, Wood, 33, named Brian Warner — a k a the 52-year-old Manson — as her “abuser” in an Instagram post.

“He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years,” the “Westworld” star wrote. “I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission. I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives. I stand with the many victims who will no longer be silent.”

Karl Rove Reveals Knowledge of Lincoln Project Co-Founder John Weaver’s Predatory Behavior Since 1980s

Karl Rove revealed he’s been aware of allegations of Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver harassing young men since 1988.

Rove, a former Deputy Chief of Staff in the George W. Bush White House, informed Martha MacCallum of his knowledge during a Fox News interview.

“You mentioned this back in 2004, that this was a concern of yours,” MacCallum inquired, referencing an Atlantic story that described Rove spreading a “rumor that Weaver had made a pass at a young man at a state Republican function.” At the time, the paper referred to the claim as a “lie.”

Rove responded to MacCallum, adding “I’ve actually know about this pattern of behavior since 1988.”

”All I want to say is that the 21 statements from those 21 young men that talked about how they were approached by Mr. Weaver — that statement speaks for itself. I don’t have anything to add to it. It’s a sad, sad, chapter,” he added.

Anatomy of a Cover-up: Media Outlets Bury Cuomo Nursing Home Report, Censor Guest — Updated

Note: NBC-Universal has disputed a central claim in this story. According to Mediaite, a full version of the NBC News interview featuring Dawn Best involved Best herself asking to restate her remarks. Even if Best’s claim is entirely false, that does not erase the legacy media’s other attempts to bury the story.

On Monday morning, Dawn Best, whose mother died in April after COVID-19 ravaged her nursing home, accused NBC News and other outlets of censoring her condemnations of Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.). Cuomo infamously directed nursing homes to accept patients who had tested positive for COVID-19, in contradiction of federal guidelines. NBC News allegedly told Best not to even mention Cuomo’s name in her interview. Meanwhile, other legacy media outlets ignored the story altogether.

The nursing home scandal gained new attention after Attorney General Letitia James (D-N.Y.) released a damning report last week, showing that the state government undercounted COVID-19 deaths connected to nursing homes. Legacy media outlets like ABC News and CBS News ignored the scandal completely on the night after the report dropped. CNN’s Chris Cuomo — the governor’s brother — completely ignored the scandal on his broadcast last Thursday. Anderson Cooper filled in for Chris Cuomo on Friday night, and he, too, ignored the scandal.

Yet Best’s story proved the most egregious. Appearing on Fox & Friends Monday morning, Best said that multiple news outlets coached her to leave Cuomo out of her criticism of New York’s COVID-19 nursing home policy.

“Well, I’d like to say, Governor Cuomo failed us now. Am I allowed to say it on your program?” Best asked. “Yes. All right, there we go. Well, I kind of got used to it because the media was never letting me say ‘Governor Cuomo’ all along, and it was being cut out of every interview that I was in.” [Emphasis added.]

“And then I started starting every sentence that they asked with ‘Governor Cuomo,’ so they couldn’t do that to me, so then they were forced to literally ask me to cut out Governor Cuomo’s name,” the woman added. “Lester Holt’s show wasn’t the only one to do it.” [Emphasis added.]

“So what happened specifically on that show was I was telling them that Governor Cuomo failed us, his books should be named, not Lessons in Leadership, it should be Lessons in Failure,” Best recalled. She added that an NBC News staffer “stopped me and she said to me, can you say that a different way without Governor Cuomo’s name and just say New York failed you? So I had no choice. I had to say New York failed me.”

According to Best, multiple media outlets not only censored her interviews to cut out criticism of Cuomo, but also directed her to avoid mentioning the governor’s name at all. Yet Best has a deeply personal reason to condemn Cuomo’s policy.

“My mom was in the best nursing home, getting the best care pre-March 24/7, fine, healthy and happy,” she explained. “Within three weeks of [Cuomo’s] deadly directive where he sent the COVID-positive patients into the nursing home, my mother was dead from neglect. That was because the nursing home was overrun with COVID patients.”

“I know this because the doctor told me when I called and asked what was wrong with my mother, she said, and this is a quote, she was frantic. She said, ‘The culprit is everywhere. It’s in every unit. The doctors have it, the nurses have it and your mother may have it.’ I had her tested she didn’t have it. It was dehydration,” Best recalled.

“My mother died of neglect because of Governor Cuomo,” the bereaved daughter concluded.

elcome to Biden’s America – The Center for Disease Control has issued a new COVID mandate requiring all Americans to wear TWO masks while using all forms of “public transportation” in the United States.

From CNN:

The CDC announced an order late Friday that will require people to wear a face mask while using any form of public transportation, including buses, trains, taxis, airplanes, boats, subways or ride-share vehicles while traveling into, within and out of the US.

The order goes into effect at 11:59 p.m. Monday.

Masks must be worn while waiting, boarding, traveling and disembarking, it said. The coverings need to be at least two or more layers of breathable fabric secured to the head with ties, ear loops or elastic bands — and scarves and bandanas do not count, the order says.

The CDC said it reserves the right to enforce the order through criminal penalties, but it “strongly encourages and anticipates widespread voluntary compliance” and expects support from other federal agencies to implement the order.

On top of now having to wear TWO masks, the CDC has also deemed Bandannas and neck gaiters unacceptable and are not on the list of Government approved masks!

The unconstitutional order, from an organization that isn’t even technically a government agency to begin with, comes after Biden signed an executive order last week requiring people to wear masks on federal property.

It is all one big phycological mindfuck!
