My opinion: they were holding delivery of sales to see if society ever fucking opened again that first lockdown, and if not, they'd be cancelling all those "dedications" to deliver purchases and hoard/sell, sell, sell at apocalypse rate.

They kept sales going, could buy as much as you wanted, but they originally were refusing to post/deliver, promising to do so once lockdown ended.

And they promised a refund if they "somehow" couldn't fulfil the sale in the end.
