Local authorities responded to reports of a "loud explosion" in Santa Clarita on Tuesday.
A film set was hit with a "loud explosion"around 4:45 p.m. in Santa Clarita on Tuesday, according to multiple reports.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, there is an inactive brush fire on the 25100 block of Rye Canyon Road in Valencia, California, an area north of Los Angeles. That location was the site of a film set at the time, according to the Associated Press.
Los Angeles County Fire Department crews and hazmat resources were conducting an investigation as of 5p.m. PT, according to the sheriff's department Twitter feed. Locals were advised to stay clear of the area, about 30 miles north of downtown L.A., dubbing it the "Rye Fire."
