I am really heartbroken tonight. I am being ostracized from my family for going to the Capital on 1/6/21. I went because I knew what was happening to our country and what is on the line. I didn’t know anyone there. I didn’t go inside the Capital. I sang, marched, handed out snack bags and little American flags to people.
Today my daughter told me when the lease expires in October she wants to separate ways. I have been taking care of my granddaughter for 8 years now. I went to the Capital for my grandchildren’s future and it seems like I am losing my granddaughter for going.
I know a lot of you are going through similar scenarios. It is just heartbreaking.
