More than 700K November Voters Skipped Georgia Runoffs; Dropoff Highest in Right-Leaning Districts

More than 700,000 Georgia residents who voted in the November election did not turn out for the Senate runoff election, according to an analysis from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The analysis revealed that the dropoff in turnout from the November 3 presidential election to the January 5 runoff election was highest in northwest Georgia and southern Georgia, both Republican-leaning regions of the state.

Counties in northwest Georgia, including Walker, Whitfield, and Catoosa, voted 70–80 percent in favor of former President Donald Trump, for instance, but parts of that region saw a 19–24 percent decline in voters from the presidential election to the runoffs.

The analysis also found that, of the 752,000 voters in total who stayed home for the runoffs, a majority were white. While this correlates to white voters comprising a majority of the electorate, the dropoff percentage was steepest in that demographic. Eleven percent fewer white voters did not show up for the runoffs compared to eight percent fewer black voters, a significant statistic as exit polling in the state shows white voters in 2020 tended to vote Republican while black voters mostly voted Democrat.

The findings coincide with several polls revealing many Republicans did not trust the results of the presidential election, a sentiment Trump reinforced as he repeatedly claimed the election was “rigged” in favor of his Democrat opponent, now-President Joe Biden.

Despite the claim, Trump sought to boost voter turnout in the runoffs and held two rallies leading up to the races to campaign for the Republican candidates — both in locations that ended up seeing some of the most significant decline in turnout, in Dalton in northwest Georgia and Valdosta in south-central Georgia.

While Trump emphasized the importance of voting Republican during his rallies, he also reiterated his claims that rampant voter fraud had cost him the presidential election. His claims were met with chants of “stop the steal” by his thousands of rally-going supporters.

Moreover, two prominent attorneys, Lin Wood and Sidney Powell, held a press conference in metro Atlanta in December also insisting voter fraud was widespread in the presidential election, but they deviated from Trump’s message by proposing voters boycott the Georgia runoffs while the alleged fraud still posed a threat to the election process.

Wood told the crowd at the press conference not to give votes to the Republican candidates as they had not yet earned them. “Don’t you give it to them. Why would you go back and vote in another rigged election for God’s sake? Fix it. You gotta fix it before we’ll do it again,” Wood announced.

One Democrat group, Really American PAC, went so far as to take advantage of the voter fraud messaging by installing billboards in rural, Trump-supporting districts that read, “Georgia Republicans Didn’t Fight For Trump. We Won’t Fight For Them,” alongside images of the Republican incumbent candidates, Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler.

Perdue and Loeffler ended up narrowly losing to their Democrat challengers, now-Sens. Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, by slim margins of about two percent or less out of 4.5 million votes cast, and many blame the upset in the typically red state on Republican voters feeling disenfranchised because of their suspicions of voter fraud.

One Georgia resident told the AJC, “What good would it have done to vote? They have votes that got changed,” adding, “I don’t know if I’ll ever vote again.” The AJC’s report attracted many similar comments on social media.

One commenter said, “Maybe the constant lies and ‘Sore Loser in Chief’ didn’t help Republicans”:

Social Media Bias Just Got Even More Orwellian

A study by the New York University Stern Center for Business and Human Rights, titled “False Allegation: The Unfounded Claim that Social Media Censors Conservatives,” is downright chilling—and it tells you everything you need to know about the dishonesty of those who purport to be arbiters of truth in modern American society.

The researchers didn’t waste any time getting to the crux of their preposterous charges. The report declares at the outset: “The claim of anti-conservative animus is itself a form of disinformation: a falsehood with no reliable evidence to support it. No trustworthy largescale studies have determined that conservative content is being removed for ideological reasons or that searches are being manipulated to favor liberal interests.”

Not only are we accused of lying on social media anytime we have the audacity to share an opinion that does not conform to left-wing orthodoxy but now they say we are lying about being lied about! This nonsense is why it was essential to launch PJ Media’s VIP membership program last year. More on that later.

You would think such a bold claim would be backed up by reams of data to prove their thesis. Alas, the researchers proffer no such proof. You have to scroll all the way down to page 20 of the report to learn that:

The question of whether social media companies harbor an anti-conservative bias can’t be answered conclusively because the data available to academic and civil society researchers aren’t sufficiently detailed. Existing periodic enforcement disclosures by Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are helpful but not granular enough to allow for thorough analysis by outsiders.” [Emphasis added.]

So, the question “can’t be answered” because there is not enough available data to support a conclusion one way or another. Nevertheless, the researchers felt confident declaring that charges of bias are based in “falsehood” or “disinformation.”

If this NYU report is any indication—and I have no doubt that it will be used far and wide as justification to further silence us—we will henceforth be accused of trading in “disinformation” any time we dare to complain about anti-conservative media bias—based on the flimsiest of arguments and data that the researchers admit is inconclusive and not “granular” enough.

It would be laughable if it weren’t so diabolical. Not only do we have to deal with media bias—where a small group of “official” “fact-checkers” determine what’s true and what’s not, in accordance with their own biases—but now we’re not even allowed to speak above a whisper about the biases. The Ministry of Truth sees and hears all. And don’t even think about believing your lying eyes when they tell you what the actual words of the report say or mean:

By many measures, conservative voices —including that of the ex-president, until he was banished from Twitter and Facebook—often are dominant in online political debates. Compare user engagement with Trump’s Facebook page versus Joe Biden’s page during the peak of last year’s presidential campaign, from September 3, 2020, to Election Day. The total number of likes, comments, and shares was 307 million.

CBS, NBC Ignored Embattled Lincoln Project Sex Scandal During Monday’s Evening Broadcasts

Establishment media outlets CBS News and NBC News failed to cover the damning allegations lodged against one of the Lincoln Project’s cofounders, who was accused of sending unsolicited and provocative messages to young men, during their evening broadcasts on Monday, according to a report from NewsBusters.

According to the outlet, neither CBS News nor NBC News covered the scandal “all the way through their Monday evening newscasts”:

While CBS Evening News was avoiding the Lincoln Project story, they spent part of their Monday newscast trying to tie former President Trump to the military coup in Myanmar.

And it wasn’t so long ago that CBS was prompting the anti-Trump group. During the Democratic National Convention, then-political correspondent Ed O’Keefe (now a White House correspondent) boasted: “The man [Hillary Clinton] lost to is the target of yet another ad, produced by a Republican group seeking to unseat him.” Adding: “This time, it’s focused on how he bungled the U.S. response to Hurricane Maria, after it devastated Puerto Rico.”

The allegations stem from 21 men who say Lincoln Project cofounder John Weaver sent provocative messages to young men, even allegedly offering advice in exchange for sexual favors. One of the accusers said he began to receive messages when he was 14. According to the New York Times, which published the story on Sunday, Weaver allegedly asked questions “about his body while he was still in high school and then more pointed ones after he turned 18.”

“Help you other times. Give advice, counsel, help with bills. You help me … sensually,” one of the messages reviewed by the Times reads.

The organization as a whole has forcefully condemned Weaver, contending that he “led a secret life that was built on a foundation of deception at every level,” though some, such as political consultant Ryan James Girdusky, say the organization’s statement is a lie and that members were aware of allegations and the forthcoming story.

Prior to the allegations, the Lincoln Project stood as a bastion for establishment Republicans, attracting rabid anti-Trump progressives in both Washington and Hollywood. Celebrities and influential executives donated large sums of money to the organization as others lent their voices for ads produced by the group. They were not alone, as establishment media outlets sang the praises of the organization, boasting of their political ads and co-founder George Conway’s frequent, snarky quips criticizing Trump on social media.

As NewsBusters noted, ABC’s This Week even did a “whole segment celebrating the Lincoln Project ad campaign” in August 2020, as host Martha Raddatz marveled that the Lincoln Project was “waging war against the president of their own party.”

Notably, ABC’s World News Tonight devoted a short segment, less than three minutes, to the allegations on Sunday night.

“Tonight, explosive allegations against a top Republican strategist and cofounder of the anti-Trump group the Lincoln Project,” ABC’s Andrew Dymburt said.

“The New York Times reporting John Weaver, who worked on the presidential campaigns of John McCain and John Kasich, allegedly ‘sent unsolicited and sexually provocative messages’ to young men online, sometimes offering to help them get work in politics,’ according to the report,” he continued.

“In a statement to ABC News, Weaver suggested he believed the messages were consensual. ‘I am so disheartened and sad that I may have brought discomfort to anyone,’” he continued.

Last month, Weaver admitted to sending inappropriate messages to men.

“The truth is that I’m gay. And that I have a wife and two kids who I love,” Weaver told Axios. “My inability to reconcile those two truths has led to this agonizing place.”

“To the men I made uncomfortable through my messages that I viewed as consensual mutual conversations at the time: I am truly sorry,” he added. “They were inappropriate and it was because of my failings that this discomfort was brought on you.”

Whitewashing Al-Qaeda: MSM Continues To Campaign For ‘Reformed Al-Julani’

Extensive efforts of MSM to whitewash al-Qaeda’s main branch in Syria, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), are gaining momentum.

On February 2, Martin Smith a reporter for the American Public Broadcasting Service’s Frontline investigative series, proudly announced that he had interviewed the terrorist group’s leader Abu Muhamad al-Julani in the northwestern Syrian region of Greater Idlib.

HTS has been ruling Greater Idlib with an iron fist for several years. The terrorist group did not only use the region as a base to launch terrorist attacks, but also clashed with other factions and repressed the local population.

On his Twitter account, Smith shared a photo he had taken with al-Julani, who appeared wearing a Western-style suit for the first time ever.

Most Syrians on both the government and the opposition sides were quick to criticize Frontline for giving HTS and its terrorist leader a platform. However, a number of Western journalists and researchers, living outside of Greater Idlib for sure, were far more interested in al-Julani’s nice look, trimmed-down beard and his Western outfit.

In 2013, the US State Department listed Al-Julani as a “Specially Designated Global Terrorist.” Four years later, the department announced a $10 million reward for information leading to his capture.

The US had no problems with Frontline’s little visit to Greater Idlib and their warm meeting with a terrorist who fought against American troops in Iraq. There are no details about any legal action that was taken against Smith and his team (spoiler: because there was no such action).

Nevertheless, the State Department’s Reward for Justice program was quick to remind those charmed by al-Julani’s new look of who he is.

“Hello, good looking al-Julani, nice suit,” the Reward for Justice program posted on Twitter. “You can change your outfit, however you will remain a terrorist, do not forget about the $10 million reward.”

Frontline’s new report on HTS and its leader is the most recent in a series of propaganda stunts meant to whitewash al-Qaeda in Syria and present al-Julani as some sort of a “reformer.” The MSM attempts to whitewash HTS contribute to instability in Greater Idlib and encourage the terrorist group to go on with its hostile behavior.

Russian Warplanes Rain Hell On Militant Positions In Syria’s Greater Idlib

Late on February 3, warplanes of the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a series of airstrikes on the northwestern region of Greater Idlib which is infested with terrorist groups.

According to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the airstrikes targeted militants’ positions in the outskirts of the town of Armanaz in northwestern Idlib. No human losses have been reported, so far.

A day earlier, Russian warplanes carried out airstrikes on positions of al-Qaeda-affiliated Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) near the town of Haranabush in the same region.

The airstrikes were likely a response to recent violations of the Greater Idlib ceasefire, which was brokered by Russian and Turkey on March 5 of last year.

Greater Idlib militants, led by HTS, violate the ceasefire on a regular basis. The militants carried out dozens of attacks against Syrian government forces over the last month.

The new wave of Russian airstrikes on Greater Idlib can also be a seen as a response to the MSM ongoing attempts to whitewash HTS and its terrorist leader Abu Mohamad al-Julani. Moscow stressed on several occasions that terrorists in Greater Idlib should be dealt with.

San Francisco sues its own school district over failure to come up with a reopening plan: 'Get your act together'

District 'leadership has earned an F'

What is a left-wing city to do when its own, union-dominated school district refuses to even come up with a plan to reopen, which is required by state law?

In San Francisco, city leaders are suing their own school district and board of education, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

A California state law passed last year, months before the 2020-21 school year began, requires all school districts to created and adopt a clear plan during the pandemic detailing actions they "will take to offer classroom-based instruction whenever possible," the newspaper said.

But the San Francisco Unified School District, thanks at least in part to the teachers' union, has failed to even start coming up with a plan, much less adopt one.

Therefore, City Attorney Dennis Herrera announced Wednesday that "he has sued the San Francisco Board of Education and the San Francisco Unified School District for failing to come up with a reopening plan that meets state requirements," according to an announcement on his city attorney website.

The lawsuit alleges that board and district's reopening plan is "woefully inadequate and doesn't meet the basic requirements set by the state." The suit seeks to have the San Francisco Superior Court order the district "to prepare to offer in-person instruction now that it is possible to do so safely," the announcement said.

The city has "squandered months of opportunity" to address the issue, Herrera's site said — all the while the district's 54,000 students have not seen the inside of a classroom for nearly 11 months, the Chronicle reported.

Still, Herrera noted, the SFUSD "does not have an adequate plan to reopen classrooms" and the city's kids are "facing a widening achievement gap & threats to their mental health."

Despite the fact that "students and their families are suffering," the school board has refused to stay focused on the need to reopen and instead spent their time on "renaming empty schools" and other less pressing needs.

Herrera noted that the city's rules have allowed schools to be in-person since September and that scientific consensus shows schools can safely reopen.

Yet, San Francisco's schools remain shuttered.

Report: Prosecution of top officials ‘unlikely’ outcome of Durham probe

While Special Counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia probe is generally focused on the FBI’s activities, sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News the prosecution of high-ranking FBI officials, such as former Director James Comey, is “unlikely.”

In a report published Tuesday, Fox News reports that sources told the publication that the investigation is ongoing and that Durham last year concluded the part of his investigation looking into the CIA and he is now examining the FBI’s activities.

Additionally, another source told the news outlet that the special counsel had been pursuing “new and credible leads” through the end of the Trump administration, however, Fox News noted that it is unclear at this point what those lines of inquiry entail.

Moreover, a spokesperson for Durham told the outlet that they had “no comment from Mr. Durham.”

Durham’s probe is looking into the origins of former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election as well as now-debunked collusion between Russian officials and the Trump campaign. Former President Donald Trump and conservatives have called Mueller’s yearlong probe a “witch hunt” and accused it of being motivated by anti-Trump animus.

Mueller’s investigation yielded no evidence that collusion occurred between the Trump campaign and Russian officials during the 2016 election.

Tuesday’s report comes after the first and only criminal sentencing stemming from Durham’s investigation was issued last week.

Last Friday, Kevin Clinesmith, a former FBI lawyer, was sentenced to one year of probation and 400 hours of community service for altering an email during the Mueller’s investigation that was used as grounds for the surveillance of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
