about Alpha relaxation techniques.

There are several, i studied a book on it once. I only remember 2

One is using visuals imaging in your mind. Yellow anything in your mind that is comforting and positive associated to that color. ie; warm sun, maybe lying on a beach. Or a field of daisy's. Green, the grass, the mountain pines etc. Then highest level is Blue.

 

You can take your time on each color.

> these techniques are used for many things, severe pain. Spiritually & Physically. Taught in natural child birthing classes etc.

 

The other method of relaxation taught is also used in the same manner, for pain. It's relaxing all your muscles through out your body, concentrate on breathing slowly and evenly. Most important is to relax all your muscles consciously. Then as severe pain increases, start at eithe your foot or your hand. Clinch only one small area muscle group and keep the rest of your muscles relaxed throughout your body. Next high pain eiside, work your way up your arm or your leg contract again. Relax all others. Works very well

for child birth.

So basically you work throughout your body this way. Both of the techniques need practicing. You may find, it will help increase your concentration skills ect.
