that is because Gen X saw through most of the illusion early on, we were left alone by boomer parents who cared more about themselves then us as children, we took risks also because of that and had to look at things a little more cynically. We were the experiment before it took over in society and fucked up the millennials. We were affected by the news cycle also more and politics and the corruption, we also say the challenger live and 911 which affected us all as well. This is why i think there are a bunch of us in this movement of this generation, we see the fuckups and are not afraid to mouth off about it.
yup we live in both worlds and can flip between them easier. Grew up on atari and nintendo but also know the concept of outside, riding bikes and exploring.
i hate texting but the few people i still interact with like texting its very strange. I used to drive across state lines just to eat at an all night diner as well. I did not even get my first cell phone till 8 years ago. I hate smart tech. Made people lazy, we used to hunt down a pay phone or go to someones house to call home to let them know something.
