I got nowhere else to go.
I was just an E-4 in the Army back in the 1980s, but from what I understand, the higher ranks in the military are actually very political. So I don't think we can separate Military from Politics. They are intertwined.
I just gotta think that there are Whitehats in the Military as well as Blackhats, just like the politicians.
But in my heart, I think that there are probably more Whitehats in the Military than there are Whitehats in politics. I could be wrong. But that is my gut feeling.
My dad, rest his soul, was born in 1923. I remember him telling us stories, I don't know if they were personal stories or second hand stories. But he used to tell us that people would bring a picnic basket to public hangings. It was considered a family outing type of event. Bring the kids and make a day of it.
Crazy, huh? Or maybe not. Let the kids see what happens if they break the law.
