Unusual for all these AWACS E3's to be out in a distributed pattern around the country like this. Also SENTRY61 was orbiting down in S. Louisiana in the same area yesterday.
Lot's of other interesting stuff going in this skies as well as a 3 day trend of significantly more mil a/c in the air at any given time.
I was a fairly private, but relatively popular if somewhat eccentric egghead before this. Now I'm the butt of jokes and openly mocked by line levels on the radio. From being the CO of 200 sq miles to having the service staff feel safe making snide remarks about Q's truck sitings, etc. Yeah, I hear ya. Family get togethers? Not anymore. The only friends that contact me now are concerned because of the tarring we get in the comp'd press. Yes, we're all being served crow and it's not delicious. Yet, I still feel like we're called to do good here and imagine it'll be worth it…despite the BS.

Orbiting LITERALLY EXACTLY the same spot as yesterday. I recognize the weird circular water feature in the middle of the turns about a point.

This place. There are no Nav aids underneath it so it isn't a usual place to pick for a precise orbit, yet twice in two days.
