Late to the party, but there was a planefag post the other day, with a JSTARS off eastern Florida, doing laps between ~Mar-a-Lago and Cape Canaveral.

Kinda bugged me, had to figure out what they could see from there.

35,000' = 264nmi radar horizon, 268nmi radar horizon for 6' tall target (~shipping container size, maybe a couple miles farther for one on a truck)

Chineez were running the freight ops at port canaveral and had another port in the Bahamas, right?

They see everything.
