IT is hard to make out the colors of those boxes, but they do NOT looks like stacks of powerbook or mac pro boxes to my eye.

As has been said before, that is a reefer unit. Metal floor with slits for airflow, and insulated walls. You would use loadlocks horizontally or vertically to secure the load. Those are the extending metal poles you see on the back of truck cabs sometimes, the trailers with latches in the wall are actually kinda rare. Also most trailers are made of wood / fiberglass and are unpainted brown. I have only ever seen white interiors on reefer units while working in transportation industry.

Well, not everything transported in a reefer truck need refrigeration. Sometimes you want to ship expensive pharmaceutical supplies,and other high value items, but you do it with a company who specializes in food so the lot lizards in the truck stops don't break in while the driver is asleep because they assume since its a reefer there is nothing inside but icecream. This is more common that you would think, especially if the wight is low. reefer units can't legally haul as much weight, but transporting as much as possible in one load is not always the goal.

Also, its very unusually for a truck to travel that empty, they are usually loaded pretty close to the back end, you are paying for the whole trailer, don't matter if you use the whole thing or not, otherwise you use the 'custom critical' mini trucks which this picture is to large to be. You don't pay for a 53 ft trailer to ship 6 ft of pallets unless you have money to burn or are hiding something.
